And I don't get the sentiment or desire to push him back so quickly. He's a really good rotational back, but we're not talking about a season relying on Saquon Barkley here. Push into November, see where we are, and bring in some fresh legs/spark like we got with Shaheed last year. On the other hand, he's a UFA next year so I imagine he wants to get back and put together as good a season as possible.

Yeah but he's no Price. He's closer to Wilson who I hear is looking great in camp for the Hawks but even Nemhauser came back to his senses and said Price is everything we could wish for at running back after seeing his quickness in camp. I don't know what the 49ers have at running back besides McCaffrey but it was obvious last year he can't carry the load alone

Lets just wait till game day to crucify a pick, Micheals was great in college but could not learn an offense. We had Derrick Fenner and Chris Warren who were guys that came out of the shadows and played pretty well, Carson was a late round pick also. You can't measure WANT TO in guys.

As far as Beast, Campbell, Riggins, Okoya, Brown, Payton, Csonka, Bettis and our own Lynch fit that name, Guys that a defensive player hated to tackle because he hurt them doing so. That would run thru you rather then around you, and refused to give up on plays and go down.

If you are talking about me, then you aren’t reading my posts. I pointed out more than once that there are other angles and aspects surrounding this discussion and I understand them, even if not agreeing with them.

I’m fairly sure that there are some on here that just don’t like other opinions.

Eh, you only read into what you wanted to. Number of carries, YPG, those things are the “facts” that I referred to.

We have a RB room that until Charbs comes back has lost its 2 primary contributors from last year. Fact.

We have drafted a guy that looks like he could be very good but we don’t know how he will really translate to the NFL. We signed a lower tier free agent (who might be very good). We have Holani. Facts.

I don’t think anyone, including me, can say how this will play out. Just a level of RB uncertainty that is beyond “normal”. No freaking out, just acknowledging the situation is a big question mark.

Before the Super Bowl, K9’s perfect moment, he was not the load hauler. We all saw him have great moments and we saw moments where we relied on Zack attack. I say we did the right thing moving on to the fresh legs and possibilities cause I know what we had in K9 he was good. But he wasn’t that good

In all of JSs tenure, RB has been a position he's come through on...and from many different avenues. He's traded, drafted late, drafted early, FAs and he's found some absolute steals and total surprises. He's made some bad moves, but he's also had depth. For whatever reason, JS can find RBs. Given his track record and the conscious moves made so far, I can't see any reason to question this particular position. He wasn't surprised K9 is gone or Charbs isn't back yet. Maybe that track record changes this season or pre-season games look awful and then there's reason to be nervous, but not at this point.

Actually, with him it was more "Beast-Mode" than just "Beast" so I don't get why Price couldn't be described as such if he IS good.
