You should have applied to be mod Rocket, sometimes the best mods were the biggest PITA's at one point. Known quite a few like that on boards over the years, they've been there done that and sometimes "have a way" to deal with the rabble rousers since their mindset at one time was similar.

Being a mod sucks, I hope they enjoy it. I was a mod on a diving message board, hated it. Too much time wasted trying to police juveniles, spam crap, etc. Ruined it for me. To add injury to insult, I was banning idiots that thought it was great to spam Viagra, etc., and ended up banning myself, talk about embarrassing.

Haha. I too was a mod in a forum on another site. Indescribably awful; will never do that again. But I hope these guys have a different experience modding this place. Congrats to the new mods.

Being a Mod is a cross between the Red Queen and being at Stand up comedy show, being able to say off with their heads one moment and then laugh or feel bad for someone when they bomb making a joke or a statement and hopefully help them get back on stage again.

Fortunately we do a lot of the laugh and feeling bad for some of the material used on this board, timing and delivery is everything
