Can't recall the play but I remember hearing the commentators praising him for picking up a blitz. I think he led to a big first down.

Turbin has the potential to be quite good, but I don't see him ever being Lynch caliber. He doesn't have Lynch's feet or natural athleticism. Lynch's power makes people forget how capable he is of springing runs outside and hitting cutback lanes with a burst through traffic and/or to the edge. That's not what Turbin is, he's more straight-linish and derives his power from his upper body and forward lean, rather than like Lynch who can create extra yards through the holes and creases with his lower body and short-area quickness. They're actually much more different types of backs than many realize.

Turbin is a great well-rounded talent. He was actually a pick that I lobbied hard for pre-draft, so I'm with you on his talents and he is a Seahawk hit I'm nowhere near the point of declaring that he will be 'as good as Marshawn'.

I think Marshawn is special and slightly taken for granted around here.

He picked up a big blitz on a crucial 3rd down conversion in the Redskins game. Pretty sure it was on the 3rd and 11 play from our own 46 in the 4th quarter where Wilson checked down to Miller for about 20 yards. Stonewalled the blitzer. He did miss a blitzer earlier in the game but overall he's a very good blocker. Sometimes it takes rookie backs a little to learn the nuances of pass protection but I thought he did a good job this year. Also, as noted above he does have a very good hands (despite dropping that pass at SF). He is a natural "catcher", much more so than Beast.

He isn't as powerful as Lynch, but his cutbacks are LIGHTNING fast, and his top speed is higher than Lynch's. Kearly has stated before as well that Turbin fits better in Seattle's scheme than Lynch. I am pretty excited for Turbin. Add in his receiving ability too? He's a boss.

This. Turbin is a GREAT receiver out of the backfield. Watching him play, he really seems to thrive when he catches that pass, like he gets this mega adrenaline rush, then he just explodes and makes a nice gain after the catch. He's quickly becoming one of my faves on this team. I hope he continues to improve, and ends up being our definitive replacement for Marshawn. Plus, with his receiving ability, he's also one more weapon for DangeRuss 8)

Turbo's got moves in his arsenal that he's just starting to show us... witness that sweet run in the Atlanta game.

I have a good feeling that his kid's gonna bring it next year.

This year he had 80 rushing attempts for 354 yds and 0 TDs... and 19 receptions for 181 yds and 0 TDs.

Next year I expect he'll have ~130 rushing attempts for 600 yds and 3 TDs... and ~30 receptions for 360 yds and another 3 TDs.

The Hawks are going to improve their offensive pts./game ranking from #9 this year (25.6 pts./game) to being in the top 3... and Robert is going to help make that happen.

I believe that the Hawks will score on average 30 pts./game next year. That would put them right up there with New England, Denver and New Orleans.

I like Turbin and think he'll play a long time in the league, but I think it's a massive reach to assume he'll ever be as good as Marshawn. In my opinion, Lynch is the second best back in the league right now. I don't think at this point Turbin does anything better than Marshawn, including catching the ball. Again, that's not a knock on Turbo, just high praise for Beastmode. I also agree with bestfightstory that some people around here might be taking Marshawn for granted a bit.
