Reminds me of my own story that happened earlier this year. I was browsing through Twitter and noticed Sidney Rice asking where a good place to get used golf balls would be. Being a big golfer myself, I've got bags and bags of used balls that my dad and I have found over the years sitting in my garage. I tweeted him back that he'd be welcome have some of the bags of balls sitting in my garage and thought that I'd never hear anything further on it.
2 minutes later Sid follows me on twitter and DMs me to tell me that if I can bring the golf balls to the VMAC that he'd give my fam a tour of the facility.
Needless to say, I thought it was all too good to be true, but I brought my fam down to the VMAC the next day with 3 grocery sacks full of used golf balls. After telling the security guard that I was there to deliver golf balls to Sidney Rice (and getting a very strange look

), my fam was escorted to the players lounge by Mo Kelly. On the way down the hall we pass JS and a group of rookie free agents and I'm literally speechless and like a kid in a candy store. After waiting a few minutes, in walks Sidney Rice. He was by far the nicest celebrity/athlete I've ever met. Shook hands with me and gave high 5s to my girls. He took us all over the VMAC telling all about what they do and different stories. We got to watch Bruce doing some individual work all by himself on the practice field, got to meet Turbin and others in the weight room and they all gave my girls a big smile which they loved.
As the tour was wrapping up we chatted in the hallway and Sid nonchalantly says "Hey, here comes my son!" I turn around expecting to see a little boy about my girls size but instead see a guy walking down the hall who looks like a grown man. After thinking to myself "how old is Sid's kid?" I realize that its Russell Wilson walking towards us and blurt out "HOLY COW ITS RUSSELL WILSON!!!" Sid starts laughing like crazy and my whole fam is just in awe, especially my girls who are HUGE fans of Russell. Russ stopped for a second to chat and took a picture with all of us (even coaxing my shy 2 yr old into the picture and holding her hand

). After Russ left and just as we were getting ready to leave, in walks Bobby Wagner and I just about lose my mind again. This time Sid offered to take all of our photo so my wife could get in the picture too. We shook hands and I thanked him for taking the time to do such an incredible thing for his fans. After everything that he had already done, he even offered to get us training camp tickets too so that my kids could come see a practice.
Its been several months later now and I'm still kind of in shock that all of that happened. Easily one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We've got an amazing group of players on our team and it made me appreciate even more what a great group of people we have to root for.
