The Sherm heel injury could be concerning. Elise on 950 almost spilled it live on-air which is against team/media rules.

@JaredStanger 11m

@dsheed 950 was broadcasting live from VMAC with practice in front of them. On the play Sherm was hurt Elise started to talk about it.

@JaredStanger 9m

@dsheed Don't know. Eric Williams also mentions it in his practice wrap up. TNT.

@JaredStanger 7m

From EW: "Richard Sherman also appeared to suffer what looked like a heel injury battling with WR Golden Tate for the ball in the end zone."

@JaredStanger @DavisHsuSeattle looked absolutely fine to me after practice. Stopped and signed autographs. No hurry to get into locker room

It's getting pretty bad when there is rampant speculation about someone stepping on someone else's foot.

Hope it isn't serious. Sherm is someone we can't afford to lose.

Actually sir, I'm sure we'd be fine, but there would be a noticeable change until he came back.

Injuries don't worry me with this team anymore.

What Throw said. I sure dont want to lose him, but we are pretty deep at corner. We will need him for week 4 against Houston for sure

Well you can jam your heal and it becomes painful or you step wrong and you get what Miller has, not a joking matter, hope it was just a stinger type thing.

Sherman is our best defender, but I wouldn't worry about losing him.

The only two guys on defense I'd panic over are Thomas and Mebane.

There has never been a better Seahawks player that I worry less about missing games from injury than Richard Sherman.

I have so much confidence in Thurmond, Lane and Maxwell . . .and more importantly in Kris Richard and Pete Carroll, that it wouldn't phase me a bit.

It's awesome we can all remain so confident without Sherman in our line-up. As much as I worship the ground he defends, I am hopeful we win the SB with him this year, then trade him next year. I don't see us giving Sherm the money he will be offered elsewhere (when his deal is up). We flat out don't need a 16 mil a year guy to complement the rest of our fine secondary. I think we would be wise to get what we can, while we can (but only after winning the championship, of course).

Hypothetical: Would you rather have Sherman at something like 6/96 with 26-30M guaranteed, or would you rather just have Browner at 3/30 with 9-12M of that guaranteed?

Considering all of our other components (and retaining ET), I'd rather have Browner...BUT, at more like a 4/24 kind of deal. We won't feel as much pressure regarding BB because (IMO) he's not as valuable to other teams as he is to ours. Conversely, I think Sherm is (much) more valuable to other teams than he is to ours. Just my opinion. I'll hate the day we lose either. Same goes for Lynch, Miller and Rice...but I think that day is coming sooner than later.

Winning the SB will definitely be a double edged sword for our high priced guys, IMO. I think achieving their ultimate goal also makes them (somewhat) more expendable. Weird position to be in.
