There is only one reason that the investigation is taking so long...They have found something that isn't right and they have been forced to look further and further back. I'm sure that the commissioner will sweep it under the rug, but we all know that something is/was going on. The plays/fumble stat is fishy.

Kinda dumb in a shoot the messenger kind of way. The reporting had zero to do with the NFL deciding to investigate. And no way is an investigation like that going to escape the press. If that guy hadn't reported it, someone else would have an hour later.
