The Vegas line for us is 7.5 which is laughable. Go to your nearest casino and drop some coin on the over. I am headed down the Oregon coast in two weeks and I fully plan on going to the casino in Lincoln City to drop a good amount on the over. To me it’s easy money. 12-5 at best and 9-8 if the wheels fall off. Either way, nowhere near the 7.5 line.

Thank me when the season is over. Just remember, always bet responsibly and only bet what you can afford to lose.
Ill take this financial advise anytime! Lets ride baby lol

Jokes aside though, I agree thats a good line for the over.

Freak injuries and stuff happens though, so be carefull friends!

*Oh, and Happy Friday!

rare for teams with a top 5 defense to have a losing record.

Sure, but "if the wheels fall off", we probably won't have a top 5 defense. We might not even if the wheels don't fall off. I'm optimistic about our D, but they're still a work in progress. They sure didn't look very good in any of our last 4 games except against the Bears, who were heinously bad.

I would NEVER make a bet that wouldn't return more than my risk.

Yeah, no way. Risking $1000 for the possibility of winning $740 seems really dumb to me. Especially when you're betting on a sport where injuries are rampant and often have a significant impact on season results.

That’s why it’s called gambling.

Agreed. I'd much rather bet on the Seahawks' Superbowl chances with 65-1 odds to win it all. $1000 bet for a $65,000 gain? Sign me up!

7.5 wins is low especially when considering the how good this defense can be.

Risking $1000 to win $1000 is like betting it all on black. 50/50, except it’s not even 50/50 cause of the damn zeros,

This bet would be like betting on black when there’s 2 blacks and only 1 red. So bet on black and win slow, but bet on red??!! Yeah baby

When I gamble it’s always for fun so I consider it lost. But in this case you give up a thousand when you made the bet but it’s really really great odds and you won so you get 1750, and that’s a lot. I don’t think I’ve ever came up 750 at a casino, but I’m a hundredaire

I don't do season long bets. It seems like a long time to tie up your money if you win.

Gambleholic here......lol
I use to bet on everything, like the under/over on the length of time for the national anthem to the bud bowl.
I no longer bet, as I now have family responsibilities, but I was very good at it. My winning technique was acknowledging most people lose, so I often went against the grain. If something looked "easy", I would go the opposite. I won a lot of $, but in the end the stress was too much. It was no longer fun, and I had a hard time getting interested unless I had something on it. I have endless stories of crazy wins and losses. My best year i made $20,000 on a "let it ride" run from an offshore account. The run consisted of a horse race(Lemon Drop Kid), nba, nfl, college football, MLB.

Anyways, I checked a betting site i used and they offer :

Seahawks @10.5 wins
The under is -350 (bet $350 to win $100)
The over is +275 ( bet $100 to win $275)

Seahawks @6.5 wins
Under is +275
Over is -350

Seahawks @ 7.5
Under +130
Over -160

Gambling can be a very dangerous thing if you let it get out of hand, so be careful. No matter what technique you use, money management and patience is the very core of success. I've had friends win 9/10 bets and lose money.

Wow really? That would shock me.
I think it's just that I'm not a gambler. I don't sit around thinking that the Seahawks will end up at 7-10. (I predicted 9-8.) But when I think about putting money on it, my mind immediately goes to the worst case scenario, and I can envision 7-10. Guess that's why I'm not a gambler.

But also, it wouldn't shock me if we ended up at 7-10. That, to me, seems to be in the realm of realistic outcomes, more so than 12-5.
