my ai says "value betting" is the way to this. THis is what it has for today:

Biggest Value‑Bet Upset You Can Bet Today

The largest underdog with real upset potential today appears in the NBA: the Orlando Magic beating the Minnesota Timberwolves. They were listed around +7 to +7.5 on major books, meaning the market sees them as clear underdogs — but the spread suggests they’re competitive enough to make this a legitimate value spot if you believe the line is inefficient.

📊 Why This Is the Top Upset Candidate Today

🏀 NBA: Orlando Magic vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

  • Magic spread: +7 to +7.5 across books
  • Implied win probability: roughly 25–30%
  • Why it’s a value‑bet candidate:
    • The line is wide, but not hopelessly wide — meaning the market expects a competitive game.
    • Orlando has been outperforming expectations in several recent matchups.
    • Minnesota is favored, but not by a blowout margin, which is where value bettors often find mispriced underdogs.
  • Source: Live odds boards showing Orlando +7/+7.5.

I stopped betting recently because I hit a 4 leg NBA parlay with +29110 odds and I felt like I'd never do better than that, and so my itch was finally scratched.

However, my go-to was waiting until the last minute or so of game regulation, right after someone sinks a basket for the o/u odds to jump up a bit, then slam the under. I had a 100% success rate but YMMV, I couldn't bet on every single game because I work nights and couldn't always have time to place said bets but towards the end I would do it once or twice a night.

I don't, I lose my ass but it's good entertainment.

I break the mold when it comes to betting, I have never lost with this strategy but man is it intense! Rather than betting and hoping to win big, I bet big and hope to win small.

Example: Bet $1000 on a 3 game parlay which each team I pick are -2500 favorites.

Is it worth it? I don't know, even with winning every time. I think it starts to make decent money if a person drops $5K or more, but who wants to do that?

You can find those odds at the start of the season of college sports. Baseball is probably the best chance of getting the (so called) guaranteed winners.
