I'm no NFL expert but I do believe this *is* Defensive Holding. 🤨

Unless I'm misremembering, a defender cannot grab, hold, or restrict an offensive player (typically a receiver) in a way that impedes their movement, regardless of whether the ball is in the air.

I think the Bucs got away with one there.

And it resulted in affecting the outcome of the game.

Refs screw the Hawks again! 🤬

Should've been an automatic first down and the team continuing to drive for a possible Game-Winning FG...

I swear to god, these refs.....

The refs are frustrating. They miss the big stuff and then go flag happy on the little stuff.

Surprised Charbs is only responsible for 2 blitzers.

Well Darnold did take the blame on that one where he failed to change the protections that would've shifted the OL to the left a bit.

But that's not the point of this thread. LOL

These refs are utter trash.

Eh, don’t really care honestly. Was it holding? Absolutely! Does it change a damn thing? Absolutely not. On to Jacksonville.

There’s plays missed in every game for every team but not once has a game been replayed or outcome reversed because of it.

Well I agree there's no point in crying over spilt milk. 🤷‍♂️

The game is over and our focus is now on Jacksonville, of course.

However, it's still very frustrating in hindsight that had the Refs did their f*cking jobs (instead of picking and choosing who wins the game), we'd be 4-1 right now. 🤬

I know it's always fun to bash the refs and I've done my share (and will continue!). But there are 22 guys on the field and 7 officials. They're going to miss lots of stuff. I have more issue with them seeing things that didn't happen than I do missing them.

That was the 2nd penalty on that play, the other was TB lining up in the neutral zone which was the same player who had the helmet tip. With a ref staring right down the los, there's literally no excuse for missing that penalty, the ref chose to ignore it on a crucial play that completely changed the outcome.

I also don't buy the excuse for missing the hold. It was right in the middle of the field where Darnold was throwing the ball. It wasn't missed, especially when you factor in the officiating throughout the game(like calling Sea for ineligible man downfield and letting Tampa get away with the same obvious penalty that was impossible to miss).

Yeah sure, don't let the refs beat you and play a perfect mistake free game blah blah blah, lol yeah right that's not reality. In the real world, it's a game of inches especially with 2 evenly matched teams, and blown calls do affect the outcome. In that moment when one team was in a good position to overcome the mistakes and refs, the refs chose to not do their job.

We could very easily be 5-0 right now. We’d all rather have that. I always felt, don’t put yourself in a position where an outside force can decide the game. The refs take pride in their work too and want to be right 100% of the time. It sucks but I’ve moved on. The universe always balances itself out. Hopefully those go our way when we’re playing in February 😉

That's like telling someone driving to work everyday to not put themselves in a position where outside influences can't affect their trip. You can be the most cognizant driver who obeys every law all the time and never makes a mistake, even then one bad driver, one corrupt cop, or some freak of nature accident can ruin your day and you can't do a thing about it.

Again, all your whining and are we now 4-1 or are we still 3-2?

Your best! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fk the prom queen.

Not sure the point of your response other than being a typical generic reaction to dismiss the fact that officiating can and does change the outcome of games. I'm pointing out the reality of the situation, my whining as a fan makes no difference to what happens to the prom queens hooha.
