Same thing just happened to Stafford on the Rams, the receiver stopped short and Matt overthrew him by a bunch and got the flag. Matt wasn't too happy either. Maybe something new they have started calling??

I saw that too. I’m guessing that’s a new tweak to the rule. Never seen it called before this week

HORRIFIC call, hilarious response. WR and QB not being on the same page is nothing new. It happens to all QB's. Intentional Grounding should always be when a guy is just trying to avoid a sack. This wasn't even CLOSE to that from Geno. It wasn't for Stafford either. Grounding? Really?

Just looked it up. No tweak in the rules just 2 horrible calls that happened to be on the same week.

Per the rule,”A quarterback must be facing pressure and throw a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion.”
