Per Pete in his Press Conference

"Red's fine. His back is sore."

Pete went on to say he thought he'd be ready to play against Houston.

Uhhhh, Breno is a "wait and see?"

Anybody else not real thrilled about J.J. Watt going against McQuistan and Bowie as our starting tackles this Sunday? That's sounds like a disaster.

Thanks for the info Jazz. And yes. Watched the Texans play this weekend. They stop the run well too. I would have to believe you will see a lot of Lynch/Turbo/Derrick Coleman/Miller/Kellen Davis this week staying in for pass pro.

There is no way we're going to be able to stop Anquon Boldin without Brandon Browner.

Sorry but that's a totally crappy comparison. Nobody here thought that Boldin would be unstoppable. Many would have rather had Browner available but nobody was that nervous.

After seeing what Aldon Smith did to McQuistan (beat him the majority of the time, and badly) I am way more concerned about what Watt can do. We had significantly more depth at corner than we do at offensive tackle. And Anquan Boldin is a slightly above average wide receiver. Watt is arguably the best defensive player in the game of football. Not even close to a valid comparison.

Watt is just one guy. I've watched each of Houston's games this year. He made some plays, but he was nothing to be frightened of. Houston's been giving up plenty of points.

Actually, I love his point. Not a comparison, but a point. And that is (Since you seemed to have totally missed it) just because one guy goes down, does not mean we are toast. The last 2-3 years this team, this coaching staff and these players, have shown an affinity to step up and play well when called upon. This is still a team game and last I saw, while McQuistan had a few troubles when he came in cold against San Fran after Okung went down, we still won that game going away and A. Smith did little damage overall.

Finally, I agree with formido....Watts is good, but he's just one player, and he hasn't done all that much yet this year. So far he's averaging all of 1 sack per game.

Considering I'm not convinced Breno is better than Bowie at this point, nah, I'm not concerned.
