Think of how something like this would negate crowd noise at Clink. It is a very forward thinking idea for the NFL, and one that will probably be copied, soon.

Negates part of it. They have always used hand signals to call plays in from the sideline, especially in loud environments, so this isn't too far different. The crowd noises is more of an issue when the QB is relaying information in the huddle, and subsequently redirecting things at the line of scrimmage.

So this doesn't really change anything, other than the speed in which the information gets relayed to the field.

Agreed, I guess I should have stated in my post that it only negates part. Still a cool concept though.

Oh, I didn't think you were saying it would negate it completely. Was just throwing out my thoughts on the impact. For the record, the Patriots were using a similar system last year when they came into town. I believe it wasn't pictures but words, as in one word summed up the whole play. Made getting the play into the QB faster, similar to what we are seeing with the pictures above. It is hard to tell how much impact it had, because Brady is such a pro and the crowd noise never seems to affect him a ton.

True, Brady rarely gets rattled. I think other QB's, no matter what, will always be rattled by the noise as it's very distracting. Hard to tune it out and be able to concentrate on all the other factors for the play.
