Nobody is an introvert with a keyboard in their hands...It's not about being like Pete. Pete is one of a billion extroverted leaders. There are a billion introverted leaders. It simply takes a different growth path for an introverted type to find their place, than an extroverted type.
Both can work.
As an introverted leader myself, I have my own bias. I think the proof in Mike's method is hiw well he's managed to reach his players in the small setting of DC. He had thr ability to get the most of his guys obviously. The challenge will be him learning to scale that ability up.
So if this is legit - maybe the texted pic meant they were bringing him in to Seattle?Um, I think we just got Macdonald. It's not confirmed, but I got a text message literally 2 minutes ago from my buddy who knows some sources and it was a pic of Macdonald. Jesus Christ, I hope this is true.
I think he came in yesterday with John. 2nd interview in less than 24hrs hours. Thats a quick thing to report with a pretty lengthy flightYeah I don't think he leaves Seattle without the job.
Yeah, I'm guessing this is a light "interview" and more of a sealing of the deal in Seattle. Press conference, that sorta thing. I would be shocked now if it's not Big Mac.I think he came in yesterday with John. 2nd interview in less than 24hrs hours. Thats a quick thing to report with a pretty lengthy flight
That's encouraging if MacDonald felt good enough about it to just hop on the plane when the interviewed wrapped and JS said "Hey...wanna go for ride?"I think he came in yesterday with John. 2nd interview in less than 24hrs hours. Thats a quick thing to report with a pretty lengthy flight
I feeling this. But after what happened with Johnson and the Commanders yesterday after people had all but guaranteed he would go there...I'm being cautiously optimistic.Yeah, I'm guessing this is a light "interview" and more of a sealing of the deal in Seattle. He also offered free candy. That's encouraging if MacDonald felt good enough about it to just hop on the plane when the interviewed wrapped and JS said "Hey...wanna go for ride?"
That usually seals the deal.He also offered free candy.
I'm not worried one bit about Macdonald. By all accounts, not only is he a hell of a coach, he's an impressive guy. This is a huge opportunity for him. It's not about being like Pete. Macdonald found it odd the private plane had no windows, but couldn't resist. That usually seals the deal.
You don't interview a guy twice in 24 hours unless you really like him. If he really flew back to Seattle on the private jet, I'd imagine they discussed terms and all of that during the flight. That's a long trip, so plenty of time to hash everything out.I feeling this. Yep. I'm on this same boat.Calling it now, Macdonald being announced as our new coach by 3pm today.
I get it. The team may like him. Hopefully MacD feels the same. You don't interview a guy twice in 24 hours unless you really like him. That's dandy, but Liquor is quicker. He also offered free candy.
He's going to be super impressed with the facility. As ex players have said, it's the Microsoft/Google of the NFL. Having spent 20 years at MS myself, that's quite the compliment to the Seahawks, but not surprising since Paul Allen was the owner for a long time.I get it. The team may like him. Hopefully MacD feels the same.
