#Seahawks are waiting to see how Percy Harvin (hip) responds to cortisone injections. Holding him out until the playoffs is a real option.

Andddd cue the panic now!

Unfortunately, some injuries demand patience.

It would be great to have him back full speed for the playoffs and if not then 2014.

Whatever they do -- there's really nothing to be gained from forcing this over the next 2-3 weeks.

Shut him down until the last couple of home games or playoffs.

Long as we can keep winning. If we get a must win game I say play him injury be damned.

If he gets hurt he will have all offseason to get fixed.

Again, like I said in the other thread esp with this particular source, I am seeing a lot of smoke but very little fire. What will happen will happen, and I am not inclined to give certain sports media figures the benefit of the doubt any longer.

At least make a decision and create your game plan around it. What I really don't want is for Seattle to plan for Percy to play, then have him at the last minute go "Dang I have a hangnail" and force them to adapt.

Let's win tonight and then just treat the last four games of regular season as preseason games for Harvin. @SF play 1Q.....@Giants play 2Qs......Arizona play 3Qs......Rams play 1Q....full speed ahead in the playoffs!!!

Rest him

Seahawks played all season without him. A few more games won't make a difference.

Get him some run in the last game of the regular season and then he'll be ready to go for the playoffs.

Interesting piece linked below with some thoughts on Harvin....

I'd love to know what really is going on here. Considering it didn't just happen before camp, why did it take so long to detect? Could it have been fixed much sooner?

And how troublesome is it going to be for the long term? We just spent a kings ransom on this guy.

Just get him through this year. That's all I care about.

This year is all or nothing. It might be the Seahawks best shot at a SB with FA and such looming in the future. They're 10-1 and have a chance to lock up HFA. This is the year to get it done.

Get Harvin healthy to play through this year so the Seahawks can win this thing. Next year isn't guaranteed.

Why rush him back when were winning without him, granted I don't like that it's taken longer than expected but I suppose it is what it is, rest him until fully healthy and release him in the playoffs, I'm all for that. Earn that money Harvin.

Makes the most sense. If limited action results in you not practicing for 2 weeks and still not being able to play, take a month and then re-evaluate.
