Anyone else as worried as I am about the pressure that the Rams D line can generate against our oline. I mean they had, what, 6 or 7 sacks the last time we played them. And that was with all our starters and at home.

Yes this is the one part of the game I am very worried about. I would pound Lynch, Turbin & Michael [?] all day and protect Dangeruss.

no reason to think the Rams can score if we avoid mistakes so I would play somewhat conservative and not expose our O-Line to that pass rush.

Seahawks are good enough to beat any team in the NFL, so no, i'm not worried. We have as good a shot as anyone to beat the rams.

Does the pure pass pressure worry me ? Yes.

Does the Rams DLine as a whole worry me ? Not at this time. We can run the ball well against them. We've statistically been a better rushing team than the Niners, and the Niners destroyed them with the run. The Niners/Rams game was the game the Niners went back to basics and started pounding the ball, while narrowing the field for Kaepernick and slowing down his progressions.

I think we can run the ball well against the Rams. I think that we can use that to open up the passing game. The best thing that can happen, IMO, is for us to establish the run early, mix in a successful short/intermediate passing game to pick up 3rd downs, and then hit the big PA passes at the end of the 1st half and and the entire 2nd half.

I'd like to see Lynch with around 130 rushing yards and at least 1 TD. I'd like to see Turbin close in on 100. For icing on the cake, I'd like to see Michael get in there and get valuable playing time and get acclimated to the speed of a regular season NFL game. Wilson's ideal line would be around: 14/18, 200 yards and 2 TD. I'd like to see some protection from him getting hit so much...this game and the next few would be a good midseason break from all his hits.

A healthy dose of the run game should keep them off our QB. That and Wilson is Wilson, he'll scramble and make plays when necessary.

I actually think our Oline is getting better week to week and having Unger back helps a lot. I don't fear the Rams Dline like I did the Texans or even the Colts to be honest. They are bad at run defense so it's pretty obvious we're going to pound the rock and eat up the clock.

im scared guys lets skip this game.
I think Wilson will avoid holding the ball as long as he did last game,... that will hopefully eliminate the blind side hits and fumbles

Get some quick passes, screens, and plenty of play action to set up deep routes and we should be fine.

I have a lot of respect for what the Rams front 7 can bring, pressure wise, having said that, i don't think they're any better than niners, carolina's, houston's front 7, i think he'll be fine. They'll make some plays, Russ will make more when it counts..

The Rams' DEs are smarter about containing Wilson and forcing him to actually throw. There won't be a ton of 20-yard scrambles this time. They'll test us to find out if we can actually beat their secondary blitzes. We should run at them.

Agree i think lynch plays a big part in our success tonight. I also think stopping their running is crucial, force Clemens to beat us...

We've had to deal with the texans d line so I'm not extremely worried about the pressure, none of them are JJ Watt..

Jj Watt is one man, Robert Quinn and Chris Long are 2 upper echelon DEs and are the main reason ST Louis led the league in sacks last year. These guys are the real deal, especially Quinn, dude is ripped and an amazing athlete for a man his size. Imaho, Robert Quinn has the tools to be top 3 - 5 DE in the NFL.

Brockers on the other hand, he was really hyped for the draft but I don't think he has the physicallity needed to stop the run and may just be another average DT from LSU that got drafted early because of the school he went to.

For years we have been hearing how great LSU DTs & DEs are, but they never live up to the hype. Same thing for North Carolina, Julius Peppers takes the NFL by storm and from then on, UNC DEs/DTs are the next big thing. The only one that has paid dividends is Robert Quinn.

I have a theory about how that all works, player from position A does well and gets drafted early which helps the school recruit high players who play position A so they get known for producing A+ players at the A position such as Oklahoma State with Dez Bryant then Blackmon.

Doesn't always work though and it all comes back down to good scouting, or in the Seahawks case, elite scouting because they don't fall for that crap.
