Preliminary knee-jerk before rewatching...

- Russell was hot garbage in the first half. Overthrowing like crazy. Some throws there was good enough protection (#HappyFeet). The OL may still be a work in progress but at some point Russ needs to get it going early in games. Still waiting for #DangeRuss to show up early, not just late when the game may be out of hand.

- Overall, I was surprised that the offense started to spark while the defense started to fizzle. I am thinking the heat and humidity is a valid reason for the run gashing and 33 points.

- If this team were firing on all cylinders, we beat the Titans easily. Titans are up-and-comers but far from a formidable team.

- I think our offense is starting to turn the corner. It feels like today could have been the beginning of the breakthrough.

- How badly is Baldwin hurt? Please tell me it's a mild sprain and not something that will keep him out for 3-4 weeks.

- I loves me some Carson.

- We will be 5-3 at WORST at the half way point. R-E-L-A-X.

If it indeed is even a mild groin sprain, those can take a couple weeks. Nothing is a guarantee win, but I might be comfortable sitting him against Indy if needed

Agreed with this. I expected 1-3 at this point. I don't think the defense gets gashed like this again.

Glowinski is a decent run blocker but had to be replaced because he was getting destroyed by the pass rush. Interior pass blocking was much better but no push against the Titan DL left no holes for the runners.

RW needs to show up soon. Bev/RW still not getting it done. 1st and 10 from the 16 and the offense gets no points. No excuses for Wilson. He's healthy and he had plenty of time today. He just flat stunk and hasn't had a good game since Detroit last year. Without first downs the defense is going to wear down fast. They aren't young anymore.

The team was missing their best three special teams aces. Tough to overcome.

Schedule is getting better.

5-3 seems attainable and pretty realistic. We'll see how it goes. :2thumbs:

Cmon man, I can't deny Wilson was bad for most of the first half, but he flat out balled in the second half. I get the Titans were going prevent or whatever, but he still completed some incredible throws against tight coverage. The throw to Willson up the seam was excellent, as was the jump ball P Rich couldn't quite haul in. About as beautiful as the earlier misses were ugly, unfortunately.

Agree. My point is that he needs to get it going earlier, not wait for the second half when the game might be out of reach like it was today.

How was it out of reach? There was an on side kick opportunity to get the ball with over a minute left and one timeout to score a game winning touchdown.

I want to see us keep spreading the field everytime we do it Russ is able to pick apart teams it also spreads out their front 7 and leaves more room for him to run. I know we won't but the Hawks O in a spread hurry up with Russ at the wheel is actually beautiful to watch.
