Purdy pressure rate.

I guess Purdy saw a pressure rate of 57.9% yesterday? The highest of his career! Obviously with most of his weapons down his receivers were having harder time getting open, but it is still a good sign for our defense. Screw you Kubiak and the others disappointments on offense!

Overall, I thought pressure on Purdy was pretty good. Sure, we'd like for them to get home for more sacks, but it is a hopeful sign for the coming games.

Yeah - DL was doing a great job all day. Wish the edge rushers had more impact but overall Purdy was uncomfortable. He’s just become really good in Shanahan’s system to know where his “oh shit” options are and get the ball out. Should have had another INT to woolen on the final drive, twice. Promising start to an area that has not been good for a few years.

Outside of Woolen, I was quite happy with our D Sunday. Our offense kept putting them on the field, and with one exception, they responded well.

I cant figure out for the life of me why seattle defenses cant cover backs and TE's. For years we've seen backs killing us on screens and wheel routes, and TE's wide open down the seam. Infuriating, but I digress.

Only week one, I fully expect to see a much more efficient offense in Pittsburgh, and fully expect to see the defense continue to get better every week. We get our first win in Pittsburgh.

Oh and I agree, bench Woolen.

Purdy has shoulder and toe injuries and is questionable for week 2. Kittles hammy could take weeks. We were plenty physical.

None of the pressure showed up in the sack column, but that's more a credit to Purdy than a diss on our front seven. They played a great game.
