What was the stat that claimed no 4-0 preseason team ever won it's division...?

I wonder what the Hawks chances are of changing history in yet another area.

There's about a 99.5% chance that falls this year.

- Clinch NFCW
- Clinch first round bye
- Win the NFL title belt (BAL->DEN->IND->STL->SF->SEA)

This team approaches every game as a championship opportunity; I don't see them even facing their "throwaway" games at the end of the season with less than 100% effort. Amazing, simply amazing.

What's interesting is, even if PC pulls the starters and play the backups ... those guys will be playing very hard and many of the backups have been tested during the year because of Injury. There has been many games this season, where the backups have played the fourth quarter. Jacksonville game for example.
I think with TJax at the helm, we can still compete seriously. However, we playing the Cards , the Giants and the Rams the last 3 games. The Rams always play us tough and the Giants and Cards will be playing for their playoff lives.

Starters can sit, rest, heal, etc., for the last few games as long as they're still primed for the playoff push after a bye-week.

Nonsense, the 2003 panthers at the very least followed up an undefeated preseason with an NFC South title.

I believe you're right, after looking it up. They won all their preseason games, and their first playoff game was at home.

Thanks for clearing that up! In fact, looking at the list of undefeated pre-season teams, there may be a couple others from years back.

It's still quite rare.
