Just did 3 rounds. To'o To's wasn't a great pick, but I don't recognize a lot of players after the top 100. Skipped over DBs and WRs since PCJS generally shop for those in the mid-rounds.

Quite a bit of thought went into this and I'll probably get some flack for the trades I made (including trading out of the 1st round altogether), but I think this sets us up nicely for this next year as well as giving us quite a bit of ammo to trade up next year if Pete and John love a QB. I absolutely think they fill a lot of holes with this draft, as well as out-bid pretty much anyone to trade up next year for their QBotF.

My final mock draft for the 2023 NFL Draft...

FinalDraft

Some key notes...

-For all the "SALARY CAP" screamers: the 37th, 38th, 41st, 52nd, 54th, and 65th picks would be only ~1 million more in cap space over the next 4 rookie years as the 5th and 20th overall pick combined (See #1 in sources)
-Smith, Sanders, Downs, and Avila were chosen as potential starters, at least by mid-season or later. Avila was drafted as a center in mind instead of Guard (he has experience playing both Center and LG, but I feel like he'd be better as a Center and also provides depth behind Lewis)
-A. Johnson and Smith would be quality depth and a safety net (no pun intended) behind Adams and Diggs respectively
-Charbonnet would be the bellcow RB we've been missing and R. Johnson would be quality depth since our RB's have a hard time staying healthy lately.
-Kraft was BPA when I selected him. Since this is N. Fant's last year, I feel like he'd be a suitable replacement
-I feel like Patterson would be good with some practice under his belt, and I expect him to be better than Joey Hunt as a backup Center.
-Wooden would probably be practice squad material, but an Area Scout from an AFC team says "He’s a coach’s dream. Nobody is going to outwork him and football means a lot to him." (See #2 in sources)
-With a total of FIVE 2nd round picks, THREE 3rd round picks, and THREE 4th round picks as well as our 1st rounder next year, absolutely no one would be able to outbid the Hawks to move up to the #1 overall draft pick next year if Pete and John decides to go that route.

5. Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida.

He’s raw but he has flashes of brilliance, at 20 years of age he’s still young enough where you can mold him into something special.

20. Will McDonald IV, edge, Iowa State.

Freaky athlete with a lot of bend, can still learn some things but probably one of the top 3 edges in this draft, if I’m being honest.

37. Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia.

Kind of a Luxury pick here but he’s a violent blocker, freak tight end who id love to see us have.

52. Keanu Benton, DI, Wisconsin.

Violent hands, versatile, he’d give offensive linemen something to worry about every time he lives up on em.

83. Jayden Reed, WR, Michigan State.

Fluid route runner, smooth as hell. He was all they had really when it came to the passing attack. Could be in the slot or anywhere else you want to line him up at. I feel like a WR who can get open over the middle for us will benefit this offense so much. Especially now that we have a QB who will utilize the mid to short in the middle of the field. Reed is one my favorite prospects.

In my latest attempt on PFN - Carolina offered me Edge - Brian Burns, DT Derrick Brown, and their #39 pick for the #5 pick. I made that trade in a heartbeat. Here's how the Seahawks picks ended up -

This is probably my favorite draft I have done.

Who says trading down is a bad thing?

Also we traded Noah Fant…..

Nice draft. The only thing I would have changed is adding one more DT instad of Edge or LB. My thinking is with Smith, Simpson, and Henley, plus Brooks and Wagner...the LB position now is a strength. While Carter is at DT, it's still a particularly weak position (specifically at NT). K Bourne would be a solid #3/4 WR so that is a good get.

Agreed. Swap DTR for Moro Oromo. Otherwise, I like it.

Is this more your style?

No shortage of DT here.
