Playoff implications for Seattle.

Big name QB's on both teams.

NYG have a huge market and I am sure their owner wouldn't mind a chance to have his team beat the Seahawks on national TV (I only bring the owner up because him and Goodell are buddy buddy)

And never-mind, the Bengals are playing the Steelers this weekend. Should have done some basic research before posting this.

FYI any game being flexed needs to be announced no less than 12 days prior to the game. So by Dec. 3rd a decision was made to keep the Steelers/Bengals as the Sunday night game this week.

Only exception is Week 17 when the NFL can wait until after the Week 16 games are complete to ensure a meaningful Sunday night game [Charlie Whitehurst!!]

I doubt that we'll get flexed this season. Week 16's current schedule is Pats vs. Ravens, both teams from large markets and both very much in the playoff hunt, marquee QB matchup, etc, and our last game vs. the currently 5-8 Rams doesn't figure to be much of an attraction, especially if we win the next two.

I prefer it that way anyhow, as I may want to attend one of those last two home games and the late start time throws a monkey wrench into my travel arrangements.

IMHO having one of our last games being flexed is a bad thing because it means we would have lost often enough to make things interesting from a national perspective.

Highly doubtful. The Patriots/Ravens game will have more playoff implications IMO than Seahawks/Cardinals.

This of course assuming FOX protects the Saints/Panthers rematch

And it was just announced Bears-Eagles is getting flexed to NBC on Week 16.

This makes sense since Bears-Eagles might potentially clinch the NFCE for Philly by eliminating the Bears.
