One encouraging thing about Sunday was the long-awaited reemerging of a Read Option, RW looked fast and effective at times. If Rawls (or Pope) can be a good compliment then with the mismatches it creates for the D, a lot else could open up.

Seems Rawls was playing injured Sunday, which may or may not have been why he was relatively pedestrian.

It looked to me like Rawls was on a short leash. "Just don't get injured". Perhaps it was lingering soreness from last week or his earlier injury.

Rawls needs to learn to chose his battles better. Running like a bull in the china closet every play tends to take it's toll. Beast mode warned him of this last year as well. He doesn't do us any good hanging out in the training room.

This is true. I cringed everytime he would try to spin out of some tackle only to fully expose his back side to get pummeled.

Pope is sounding like one gritty, tough kid. Good for him to recover so quickly. Hope he has a real positive impact here.

Yeah, but if he doesn't than we give him the CMike treatment.
