The things he needed…can be taught. The things he already had, most cannot be taught. Physical prowess peaks for some…
The fact that he’s still here lets us know (for now) that the staff sees something in this kid. Call it insurance..call it future #2/back up QB to Sam…whatever it is.
I still believe this kid will be a serious #1 QB contender in the future.

I mean jebus, with Sam Darnold kicking azz the way he did, and his BACKUPS watching the magic he had put together throughout last season?!?! I don't see either of his backups threatening to wrest control from that outstanding showing.
HOWEVER, both of Darnold's backups CAN absorb and take Sam Darnold's achievements to heart and grow from them.
