No trick question. No wrong answer. Who is your favorite Seahawks quarterback of all time and if you don’t mind, please post your thoughts.

Well, it's early yet. I have been waiting for a gun slinging quarterback like Sam. With his release and vision he has made the line and receivers maybe RBs look much more competent. It was quite the gamble to aquire him amongst the regime change. Can't wait for further growth and what that entails.

Wow, so interesting how these polls age. As a 54 year old, I cant see how Zorn's votes aren't soaring. I loved Hass, but i was wearing a Zorn jersey when I was throwing dots with the Nerf.
In 10 years the votes will shift again. Steve Largent is the only Led Zepplin from the group. His music will play forever

I picked Jim Zorn because he was the QB when I fell in love with the team when I was 10 plus the dude was hot as F and he aged very well too. I even have a tshirt in Redskins colors from when he was their head coach that says “Horny For Zorny”. 😂

Dave Krieg, the ultimate underdog from Milton College. How did they even find him?

Just when you thought he was going down to extend Derrick Thomas's sack record, he breaks free, no time on the clock, and throws a TD to Paul Skansi to win the game!

I picked Sam but, simply because I love his story. There’s a great bit of recency bias in my choice…without a doubt.

Russ was the best (thus far). As mentioned, I felt like we were never out of a game when he was in his prime. I’m one of the folks that ‘hold a grudge’ against him as I believe he was instrumental in breaking up the LOB/ potential dynasty…TMI. My bad.

Overall - Matty H. A genuine good dude. Plus, “We want the ball and….” 😂. It hurt at the time but, you can’t tell me that it’s not funny as hell when you look back on it. I still have the image of him trying to tackle ol boy at the end of that play…fml. I think I cried pure pain when it happened and now it gives me the giggles 🤷

I like them all, but went with Russ. Yes the ending was sad, but the magic he brought when he was in his prime was unmatched. I never thought we were out of game when he played.
Same. Russ was a baller. No matter how bad it looked, I never thought we were out of a game. You always believed Russ was going to make a big play and save the day.

A pity the way it all ended.....

My favorite was Seneca Wallace. And I know he really didn’t accomplish much and was just a back up but I loved watching him. I remember him catching a pass. It was the first time I had really seen an athletic style qb in Seattle. I was a huge Randall Cunningham fan as a kid and Seneca really reminded of Randall. I’m sure part of me liking him is cause of the back up phenomenon but I don’t care he was my favorite

For me its Russ. He was a monster for almost a decade, Played through every injury, Never complained, Never sat and pouted on the bench etc. Plus reports from multiple people who worked at the facility or for the team saying he was the nicest athlete they've ever been around just cemented it. I know people hate how it ended but if anything we now know he was at least partly right about Pete, he was holding the team back in weird ways.

Darnold is moving up fast on my list though because of how he carries himself. I also loved Dave Krieg so those 3 are all super close for me for different reasons.

I'm with you on Darnold. I still have Russ but Darnold is such a cool story and an easy guy to root for.

I want to see that confident, baller swagger from Sam. I know that's probably unrealistic--it's just not in his "makeup". But I honestly hate feeling those "game on the line jitters" with Sam. It's probably unfair, considering he just won the Super Bowl and what he did in the playoffs. But that feeling in the back of my mind that he's going to make a mistake.........

Apologies OP, don't want this to turn into a Sam Darnold thread or anything.

I like Sam. The guy has been getting bashed endlessly since joining Seattle and then before that was labeled a bust and choke artist etc. and the guy just is mentally indestructible. Darnold has overcome a lot and is still a baller yet 99.9% of non Seahawks fans continue to say he is trash and Seattle is only lucky to win a Super Bowl etc etc. that is pure nonsense to me.

You know how I knew Darnold was a killer before he won a Super Bowl?

If you guys follow UW football, Darnold came in with USC, when UW, was riding high and ranked high and Darnold carved up UW on every clutch drive. That guy was lights out and ripped UW and back when UW was good. That’s how I knew Darnold had that “IT” factor!

Darnold, was just unlucky to be with bad organizations in the NFL until he learned from Shanahan and became what we see today. In Minnesota, Darnold shredded Seattle at Lumen (I was at that game) and it reminded me of Darnold vs UW. And now, Darnold is shredding other teams for the Seahawks.

Darnold is also loved by Marshawn.

Come on, man, Darnold’s story and history is absolutely the best!

I love Darnold!
