I'm feeling a lot better about this team than I did before the season started. I predicted 9-8 in the preseason, and I believe now that we'll finish higher than that. I think that along with with the Colts, the Seahawks are a surprise team for most of the NFL. We knew the defense was going to be solid, but who knew the offense was going to be this improved?

So much depends on how the wildcard scenario plays out.

Right now I have Eagles, Packers, Lions, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Niners and Rams making the playoffs, and the Hawks won't be the 1 seed.

If we can somehow face off against the Niners or Buccaneers, in the wildcard, we will make the divisional. If it's the Eagles or Rams, I think we lose. If it's the Packers, it's a toss up, with home field coming into play.
Against the Packers...except for one crazy fluke come back win, do we ever do well vs the Packers? I feel they are one of the few teams who have our number.

No doubt. Colts and New England, def. this year's surprise teams. And it doesn't look like a fluke. They're just really good football teams.
You could have gave me 20-1 odds at the start of the year and I still wouldn't have bet that the Danny Dimes led Colts would start out so hot.

Need to see us against the Rams honestly. That will be a true test of where we are at. Hoping we beat WA and AZ and head into that game on 11/16 at 7-2. That Rams game is huge and we have 3 winnable games that follow. Love the direction we are heading though! Will be interesting if they do anything at the trade deadline as well. That could sway things. Especially at RG.

Seahawks have - Colts, Commanders, Vikings, Falcons, Titans, Panthers, Rams x2, Niners, Cardinals

Niners have - Colts, Bears, Titans, Browns, Panthers, Giants, Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals.

Rams have - Lions, Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks x2, Niners, Cardinals x2.

Outside of conference play, the Rams have the tougher schedule, with the Niners and Seahawks having a pretty similar level of difficulty.

It all comes down to conference play. I expect the NFC West teams to beat up on each other, reducing the chances that any of them get a bye week. The Rams have a slight advantage in having two games to play against the Tards.

While I tend to think the Niners record will start to reflect the number of injuries, their schedule is pretty easy over all.

It's going to be a horse race, with injuries dictating who wins. It's not even clear that winning will be that important. We may be better off as a wildcard, facing the Buccaneers in Florida, rather than hosting the Rams.

I was thinking that when I posted. I went with new era, the curse is likely over. I place a ton of blame on Carroll for the way we struggled against the Packers. I do know that I want no part of playing in Lambeau in the post-season.

I’m really enjoying this team right now and like our chances week in and week out but until we play the Rams I can’t even be sure of the division let alone the playoffs.
My sentiments now, too. Too early.

I sniff another Lombardi if it unfolds like many are predicting (myself included). The front 7 is nasty as eff I haven’t seen this kind of domination on the D line since Bennett and Avril and Mebane. Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy make up the best interior/3tech duo in the league bar none.

Those who were realistic about Geno/DK aren't terribly surprised about the offense being solid so far

I was okay with the Geno/DK trades, but I think most of us had questions about if Kubiak was going to be any good as an OC, whether the line was going to be improved, whether Zabel would be able to contribute right away, who else might step up among the wide receivers, and whether Darnold was going to be able to repeat his performance from last year.

If you're saying that you didn't have any of these questions, you're a lot more clairvoyant than the rest of us.

I just put NFC West Champs because I'm not really ready to predict the playoffs yet.
Same. Playoffs are like a second season. Whoever earns home field advantage is my odds-on favorite. I hope it's us. But I think we'll be a Wild Card.

Nothing wrong with enjoying the ride. We'll deal with the Clams when we get there. Much of this board seems way too afraid of that team. They're not some unstoppable world beaters.

By the end of the year our defense will be able to hang with any team in the league... but Bradford and Sundell will hold us back from advancing come Playoffs time... so I went with Wildcard Winner because I predict the Rams will win the Division... and we will finish 2nd.

Sundell has been mostly decent and getting better every week. He was really good last week. I don't see how he is going to hold this team back but Bradford .. yeah.

Given we are 1-2 at home and 3-0 away do we want a low seed?

If they can get out of their own way, I could see some PO victories. For now, the Division is the most likely, with a shot at being a PITA in the post season.

I agree. The stupid Rams will take the division. I think we will get a kind of surprising win in the wildcard round, but will lose in the divisional. I think that's a decent step forward for the team for this year. A little improvement in the offense next season should really put us in contention.

I chose other. Not enough information for me. I could pick really high or really low. For me the nfc west games are huge.
