The amount of "Yes" votes is crazy. Darnold is a mediocre QB at his absolute best and we saw that last year when it mattered. Minnesota had a soft schedule and Darnold had one of the best lines in football and the best receiver in football and the best defence in football for half the year. He has none of that here.

The only good thing about Darnold is that he'll put us in the running for a real QB. Arch Manning.

Yeah, people really shouldn't have an opinion. The nerve.

And judging from your post........hard to take anything seriously. Glad I wasn't drinking my morning coffee, or I would have spit it out.

Thank you for the morning laugh. God that was hilarious.

The only good thing about this post is that it reveals yet another one to put on my Jericho List (aka Ignore) :

I heard yesterday on the NFL channel on XM that we finished 14 overall on defense. Either way, I think they will definitely be in the top 10.
According to espn.com statistics, we finished 14th in Yards Allowed... and tied for 11th in Points Allowed per game at 21.6... tied with BUF.

I can see your point. The amount of turnover on the offensive side of the ball is enormous and Sam has not been a good QB the majority of his career.
The D will have to carry this team especially to start the year I imagine.
Missing the playoffs is certainly possible.

Isn't the line on the Seahawks wins this year 7.5? If so Vegas certainly doesn't think we are a playoff team.

I have had the honor of dining with him a few times, sitting next to him once.
I gotta ask... did you have the cajones to ask him to reprise his "PLAYOFFS???" schtick, even once?... even in jest? I would, just to see the expression on his face. lol

Not that Arch shouldn't be better in time but he didn't even start over Ewers. Arch most likely isn't coming out for another 2 years and based off name alone you are going to have to get the 1st overall pick, something we've never had before. Even if Darnold is bad, the defense is good enough to win a few games and not end up picking 1st.

Can you imagine the amount of draft capital you will have to move up to take Arch because he's a Manning even if it's only moving up a couple spots, and chances are that team picking 1st needs a QB so good luck.

Keeping Arch on the bench was always the plan, so I wouldnt necessarily say that he "couldn't beat out Ewers" as much as Sarkisian was just very committed to the plan, but I agree fully with the rest of this. We can all debate how good a prospect Arch really is, but you're almost definitely not getting him unless you're the worst team in the league the season before he comes out. It would take a perfect storm for trading into the first pick that year to be realistic.

Hmmm last two first round pick QB's Dan McGwire and Ric Mirer, History says we don't do well here. Wish Steve Myer would have got a shot, he had potential before the neck injury but he was a 2nd round pick if I remember correctly.

Well, I gotta say... you exercised a LOT of restraint, brother.
Interestingly, we did talk about New Orleans. Once a coach, always a coach; winning came up in conversation more than the social setting suggested. But Jr. didn't come up much if at all.

The same Vegas who had the line on the Vikings wins last year at 6.5

yeah...very reliable. 🥱

Sam made Vegas and its line look stupid last season and he'll make it look stupid this season
