I've got no problem with Denver taking the top spot in any ranking out there. Their defense has looked solid, if not spectacular, without Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil, and their offense is the best in the league.

They're essentially our polar opposites.

I dont mind it either, but I also feel that Denver just is able to look so good cause they play crap teams all the time. The Giants and Ravens have looked like utter horse poo this year. Eli has thrown 7 picks. Ravens barely, and I mean barely, squeeked by the Browns. And the 2 teams combined still put 50 on the broncos. I will wait for true judgement when Devenr plays a worthwhile team.

Their next 4 games are Raiders, Eagles, Cowboys, Jags....

We mad Bro?

I may catch some flak for this, but until Wilson looks a little sharper and comes out firing on all cylinders, I'd have to a agree with this ranking. :180670:

I think we could beat Denver head to head. They are very good but we are built to shut a team like that down. They are also one Manning injury away from being a mediocre team. Their defense is decent but looks great because teams are always trying to play catch-up and giving them opportunities.

This isn't a 'bag on Denver, we are so good" post and I agree that they should be #1 until we can get our offense going. Just saying, I would put my money on the Hawks.

However both teams were my pick to be the teams in the Superbowl and I hope that happens. I would love to see possibly the best QB in the history of the game go up against what might be the best secondary in the history of the game, in the biggest game. That would be freaking epic. It doesn't hurt to have the Wilson V. Manning storyline after wilson matched his rookie TD record, and certainly doesn't hurt that we formerly had a long history of Bronco-busting going down in the old AFC West.

I want that matchup so bad.

eh. Against 2 solid defenses with a rotating o-line. Ive got no issues so far. Not to mention, sundays game was obviously super run heavy gameplan anyway with the rain.

I would guess that 95% of the power rankings will have Denver and Seattle at 1 and 2 respectively this week

I have no problem with Denver as #1. In my opinion, they deserve to be. They have looked good on both sides of the ball, while we have only looked good on Defense. And they have almost as many injuries/suspensions as we do on D.

When you score 90 points in 2 weeks, you've kind of earned the right to #1 in today's offensively heavy NFL.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if they peak early then decline at the end of the season.

SF should obviously be #2. I mean, they do have FIVE championships right?

Oh of course, why didn't I remember that. :sarcasm_off:

This is okay with me. Like Sarlacc says, that much scoring and you have to give them the nod.

I can't find another NFC team ranked higher than us at the moment.

From this point on, earning that number one seed and that juicy home-field advantage is all I'm concerned with. Given how we demonstrated the method of how to control the Niners, it's a safe bet that a handful of teams they'll face will have at least some success against them. At least that is what I'm hoping for. The injuries they suffered so far may end up being the difference in that equation.

Funny how my mind has shifted from us winning games to needing other teams to lose lose them.

What's your criteria for looking good on both sides of the ball? Denver has allowed 50 points, compared to our 10. I'd say their defense is playing as well as our offense right now. And our defense is playing as well as their offense.
