I'm sorry but Rodgers is not a threat. They are not a threat to the 49ers AT HOME and they definitely are not a threat to the better Seahawks ON THE ROAD! Green Bay has about as much chance to make the Superbowl as me and my not yet born son do (to play, not to go which would be a higher chance). They would have to beat the 49ers, then probably the Hawks and then probably the Panthers --the last two on the road. I think a string of games against the Niners/Hawks/Carolina is probably playing against the most difficult three teams in the entire NFL.

Green Bay sucks, they are a bad team, they shouldn't even be in the playoffs. To have a great team like the CArdinals sitting out while the crap team Packers get to play is just awful. In fact, I would say that the St. Louis Rams are a better team than Green Bay, the Rams had to play in the NFC West after all. The Cardinals and Rams both deserve to be in the playoffs over the Packers and perhaps even the Eagles. Another team which sucks and will get blown out.

These analyst really don't watch these games past NFL redzone.
Aaron Rodgers does a ballsy move on 4th and 8 against literally the 30th ranked defense and now all of a sudden we are gonna lose at home because our offense hasn't put up 30 a game.

if Aaron Rodgers played the Seahawks in Seattle he would have his collar bone snapped like a turkey wishbone. probably first quarter.

I heard Bill Simmons say Philly could beat us at home to. Why do we want national attention so bad in Seattle? these guys don't even watch the games.

You're 100% correct, and I don't really blame them. Who has time to sit down at watch 15 games per week? We watch the Seahawks every week, sometimes I watch them twice per week, as I like to watch the replay. So who is the better person to ask for an opinion, me or one of these national guys who have watched 2 Seahawk games the entire year? Even though I have hours of work each day I can watch NFL games, I still only watch about 5 per week --one game per work day, lol. If someone asked me about the Bengals what am I going to say? Some garbage from the one time I watched them this year that 90% of their fans would laugh at. Just as we laugh about this National guy.

Aside from his over-estimation due to the return of Rodgers, and the Pats placement above SF, I don't have issue with his rankings. Writers that prefer offense prefer the Broncs, writers that prefer defense prefer the Hawks. IF we are allowed to actually play defense, I have no doubt we will beat Denver. Perhaps comfortably.

This just goes to show you that the likes of Rodgers, Manning and Brady will forever have their gonads firmly entrenched in the drooling mouths of the media dorks, logic aside. Rodgers is one of their beloved false idols.

didnt Rodgers only get like 13 pts on them last year?
Also their defense is a million times worst and this O is a million times better.

Lets not forget people we had Bradley as DC last yr.. which meant a lot of Zone.. we're A LOT more aggressive this yr on defense... I say bring Green Bay so they can shut up about the fail mary as we place a 50 burger on their mediocre team

Absolutely. I'd expect them to flash some bravado..but please. We'd double GB's score in GB...but at the Clink? GB won't see the CLink this year and if they did, the fail Mary would become their favorite memory.

Ok talk about the delusions even 8 years later.

“Bill Leavy statue”? please. Steelers fans hated Bill Leavy way before this. The Seahawks got their fair share of bad calls going their way in Super Bowl XL as well but no one likes to remember that the Steelers were just the better team that day. Leavy is just one of many bad refs that need to go in the NFL. It’s all well and good that they’ve started admitting their mistakes, now they need to work on not making so many.

Total bozo.

IIRC, it was the first time in SB history that a team led in every important stat, but lost the game. I would have to think that dubious honor remains ours today.

I actually don't want to play the packers because if there's one QB that can cause havoc on us at home, it's Rodgers.

Rodgers numbers against Seattle are terrible in the Wilson era, but for whatever reason that Green Bay defense gives Wilson fits.

Also, it's very unlikely that Seattle draws Green Bay in the playoffs. Seattle would only play Green Bay in two very unlikely scenarios:

#1: Both the Saints and 49ers lose next weekend. Very unlikely.

#2: The Packers beat both the 49ers at home and the Panthers on the road. (Seattle must also win their first game to meet GB in the NFCCG, obviously). Very unlikely.

I'd say there's maybe a 20% chance we see the Packers in this playoffs. In fact it's probably even lower than that because I fully expect the 49ers to stomp Green Bay in that first game.

Lol pretty sure Seattle won every statistic that day besides points and yards off penalties.

Yep....Pittsburgh was just the better team that day.

The Seattle offense as a whole and Wilson in particular are much better now than they were the last time GB came to the Clink. Green Bay is probabaly worse now then they were then (or even in preseason this year).

That stat is not even the worst. Imagine how many yards we had taken offthe board with the timing of the calls. 30 yards removed when Stevens caught the ball at the one (plus a 2nd and 20 from the 39 instead of a 1st and goal from the one with the best goal line RB in the league that year) 20+ removed and points taken off the board for Tjacks supposed push off and 2nd and 20 from the 30+ instead of 7 points, 50 yards+ taking off for an invisible block in the back no one (including the announcers) ever seem to find out who they were referring to that put us at 1st and 10 from around our 15 instead of the Stealers 40 yard line on and on and on.

How many times did the officiating crew allow the game clock to run well past zero for Pittsburgh?

How many yards and completions does Matt have without all the yards removed from the game. The one QB rating we do know is correct or possibly high is Pig Bens 22.7 QB rating but how many holds, block in the backs, PI's on and on did the officials decide weren't bad enough to call? Remember the Stealers had zero calls against them after the first quarter, they had three total early on but once the calls started going against Seattle suddenly they could do no wrong.

It was an absolute shit show that prevented us from ever getting momentum by punishing us for every positive play we made. I can't remember all that bad calls but the timing of most of them was hyper critical, either keeping their drives alive or stopping ours. It was insanely to much to ignore and that is why it will always be referred to by everyone who didn't benefit from it, as the worst officiated game of any sport ever.

Totally disagree. I love the fact that division championships mean so much. Watching the division races play out in December is one of the best things about the NFL.

The Packers chances of winning in Seattle are ZERO. None. Unfortunately, they will never find out. The Niners are going to drill their sorry butts into the frozen Lambeau turf this Sunday.

I'd like him to name the bad calls that went Seattle's way. False equivalency. Also the game stats refute his statement saying the stealers played a better game. His "penalty flag" defense was the major factor in that game and 48 out of 50 states on the espnnation poll agreed. That game is still a black eye for the NFL, which is another reason I want he hawks to make it back so it can be rehashed in front of a national audience on the sham it was.

If you think about it, it's really the only thing he could say. I mean we beat the Niners and the Saints at home already, and we can't play the Eagles next week because if they win, they go to Carolina. The Packers, with Rodgers are a legitimate threat. I still think we can beat them, but when you want to get people to click to your site and stir up a fan base, you need to put something controversial in there and try not to sound TOO stupid when you say it.

I have no problem with any of the scenarios, but would rather have the Packers or Niners here for the entertainment and rivalry value. There is no rivalry between us and the Saints; I'm pretty sure we'd be looking at a re-enactment of our previous game against them and I can think of a lot of other teams I'd rather see beat down.
