Actually, football outsiders pass protection ranking for the offensive line focuses solely on adjusted sack rates. The best adjusted sack rate during the Russell Wilson era was 20th in Russell's rookie season in 2012. To date, the adjusted sack rate has slipped slightly since his rookie season. That ranking persistence has more to do with Russell's style of play than linemen or receivers or coaches or anything else. But who cares! It doesn't really matter since Russell's style fits with what Pete does and facilitates winning football games.

I agree with who cares dont agree the drop is due to Wilson though

2012 20th
2013 32
2014 24
2015 30
2016 25
2017 25
2018 30th
2019 25h
FYI 2011 24th
So as You can see they were 24th the year before Wilson and have stayed between 32-20th. If this was a Wilson thing they would have been better in 2011. I would agree PC style does account for this as he has said he puts premium on run blockers not pass blocker so of course their pass blocking will be not as good. Also given Wilson has been constant since 2012 and the line has gone from 20th down to 32nd and now 24th that shows it is less about Wilson then it is about the line itself or the players we choose or system we use. The idea of it being the player chosen and the system is further validate by the 2011 rankings. The reality is PC does not put value in pass blocking

:34853_doh: Somehow you missed the clarification of what those specific "Football Outsiders" numbers of limited scope (adjusted sack rate) actually address to the exclusion of other grading considerations. With regards to Seahawk quarterbacks, tendencies to hold on to the football and hold out for something better has, more often than not, been a Seahawks characteristic. Those tendencies were present during the Matt Hasselbeck era and reach all the way back to the beginning with Jim Zorn's style of play.
