It's Harbaugh's game, we've seen it work! This game is too important to "all of us" for Pete to be selfish in his "own way of doing things" and not even this playing field... it could cost us a win. It shouldn't but we all know we are thinking in the back of our minds at very least that "zebra lobbying" is an effective tool that Harbaugh uses very well.

No thanks, I'm down with Pete acting like a man and letting the refs do their job.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to point out how often Crabtree pushes off to get separation as well as Boldin throwing DB's to the ground and jumping on them like he did to Lane last game and happened multiple times without a single flag. Meanwhile we're getting ticky tacky holding and PI calls against us.

Hopefully Pam Oliver is band from the Clink. Nothing like having media idiots making comments to the officials asking them to put a microscope on our secondary.

wasn't she the one that was so excited that she was the one who got to inform Pete about one of our players being injured?

Perhaps he should use phrases like Jive turkey gobbler too?

I think the OP is of the opinion that this shit works. The man was penalized 15 yards for being on the field last week, I'm pretty sure the word is out on this guy among refs.

But most certainly there is no reason to stoop to a lower level to get an edge.

I don't think it's "stooping". And I'm not talking about BS calls either. But "when in Rome". Fact is that if JH's "incessant whining" about legitimate holding and PI's get the zebs to throw more flags agains the opposition D, you can't just stand by and let them railroad your team!! It doesn't do a damned bit of good to complain to the league on Monday when you are in post season regret!

I'm pretty sure if Pete sees something going on and the refs are missing it, he will let them know. He just has the common sense and self control to conduct the discussion civilly during TV timeouts. And without throwing things.

Pete is just more subtle. He mentioned that their receivers are very physical in his presser.

I don't thinki Jim gets much, if any edge from it. All he gets is a whiny ass reputation.

Hey Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn here(tho you might have missed my parts of those books). So you expect our coach to act like that idiot? :141847_bnono:

and this from another poster.

I didn't realize Pam was playing in a band.

That's fine and all, but about what? Lets be honest..we're the ones notorious for testing the limits on the holding and aggressive/physical play.

no one is talking about jumping up and down on the sidelines like a little girl. The coaches usually meet with the officials prior to the gamesuggesting they look at pushing off or abusive type manhandling of players is not whining. It is simply pointing it out.

If you think this tactic didn't help Harbaugh your not paying attention. Why would Oliver point it out in an interview?

And for Radish, banned. Sorry if I hurt your brain. Thanks for catching it before rolund I wouldn't want after school detention.

10 minute breaks don't allow for much correction. Sometimes spell check gets it wrong.

I got a feeling harbaugh's antics are going to backfire on him with the refs this week. He already got a 15 yard penalty (a coach with a 15 yard penalty on a touchdown play they were gonna review anyway).
Like Danny O'neil said if they give a coach a flag that means it is for something they specifically warned him about and he chose to ignore.

Every coach does it... you would be stupid not to. they just don't do it to the extent and intensity that Harbaugh does lol

I see the lobbying trend continuing and for the same reason the passing game rules the day.
It is very difficult to cover receivers and make legal tackles in this league now.

I know it seems like he gets calls when he complains but he might just be getting the calls regardless.

I know if it were me as a ref, I certainly would not be listening to him or giving this anymore credence. In fact, I'd be quick to flag that guy for always running on the field or yelling, etc.

I would think at some point it would become a detriment. Boy who cried wolf scenario.

I noticed a lot of the older coaches tend to not be so animated because it seems like they've been through enough games that it's not worth the effort to throw a temper tantrum over a call not going their way. Look how old these refs are, how many games they have officiated with temper tantrum throwing coaches. It's really useless IMO. Makes for good entertainment on TV, but really wasting their breath. Those calls and non-calls are going to be made (or not made) regardless if the coach says something or not. All that time the coaches spend yelling they could be devising the next game plan. Screw it, let Harbaugh throw his tantrum.
