Or how much was it because the D progressively got worse and couldnt get off the field?

The defense is not good and hasent been for a long time.
Or how much was it that 2021 was the year of the Ox, which obviously not a good year for teams that are represented by flying animals? Or, we could stick to reality instead.

It's been pointed out on this board multiple times that the offense was the worst and by a lot in average drive time last year. The defense was bad, but the offense was the WORST.

Our defense last year was a perfectly serviceable bend-but-don't-break defense. The only reason it became the common trope around here is because the Russ-fanboys (I wonder if you know any of them?) scapegoated our defense for the fact that Russell was leading one of the least consistent offenses in team history.

The Rams defense, was almost as bad in average time of drives, virtually the same in average yards given up, and slightly worse in how many times opposing teams drives ended in a score. Yet they won the Super Bowl.

How many on this board were saying the Rams defense was 'terrible'?

I see that the anti-Pete crew has conveniently shifted the conversation away from the question of who was holding who back, regarding Pete/Russ.
Valiant effort, but it's a completely different topic and not relevant to the current debate or should I say currently settled debate

Probably mostly on the offense, considering the Seattle offense has gone from literally worst to first on third downs this year.

I don’t even know why those people come here. It’s always negative shit. I just don’t get it. It’s like they keep throwing negative shit at the wall until something sticks and then they can feel superior and act like they are the “realistic fans”? It’s a bunch of nonsense and pathetic.

Wouldn't it be hilariously ironic if somehow Geno took home the MVP title?

I gotta agree. This "offensive minded" and "defensive minded" crap has poisoned how we think of head coaches.
"Just because I'm not partial to using a Pistol, that doesn't mean I don't know how"
Just because he's known MORE for his preference to Defense, don't mean he doesn't understand what makes Offenses tick.
