Percy's attitude is not my concern. Him wanting to get out there and stick it to his former team, that's just being a football player. When he was out there he stalked the sidelines begging to be put in, and when he was in, he blocked his pants off. I don't trust him necessarily to keep emotion out of if when making a health decision, but now that Pete is wise to this, hopefully we'll protect him from himself in that way.
My only concern with Percy is health. Too bad that concern is looming so large at the moment
There is a definite correlation between Harvin's attitude and Harvin's health.
Charley Casserly once said "Randy Moss was the worst thing that could have happened to Percy Harvin". He also said it was widely believed Moss turned Harvin against Childress, going so far as to ask for Harvin's help in getting Childress fired.
Casserly went on to report that in front of the team at practice, Moss took his pads off early. Harvin asked Moss if practice was over and Moss said "it is for me, I practice when I want to practice and I play when I want to play". Soon after, the mysterious, undetectable migraines helped Harvin to miss 40% of Viking camps and practices from 2010 until Minnesota was able to once again butt-rape our Seahawks. Think about it:
Q: Why would Minnesota, a team headed to the play offs, put "MVP candidate" Harvin
on IR, in week 10...for a minor thing like a sprained ankle? Why did the team decide to play 6 more weeks, and the playoffs, without "the most dangerous man in football"?
A:
Because they already had us grabbing our ankles. Pete coveted Harvin since high school but still, another sideline meltdown from Harvin might have chased us away, so ridding themselves of Percy Harvin became more important to the Vikes than a shot at the frikin' Superbowl.
