^thats just how we are using him, and the new philosophy of the offense. Is that his fault, or the fault of the play callertrying to get too cute?

We're talking about a guy who Adrian Peterson called the best player he's ever played with. As we all know Percy Harvin is a phenomenal player.
Time to figure it out, Bevell.
I think he is the most overrated player in the last 10 years and there are probably 75-100 "wr" that I would choose over him.
Im aware im in the minority, just pointing out that we DO NOT all think/know that.
I miss Tate.
I'm going to call you out on that one. Go on, name 75.
Dallas had him sooooo figured out, it almost looked like they were spying him. I was hoping Bevell would notice that and start using Harvin as "bait", but he didn't even do that.cesame":155v8hgw said:The way Bevell is using him so far is criminal

God forbid we send him on some go routes down the sideline. He'd either pull a safety with him helping to free up the middle of the field (which would be GREAT to use some receiving tight ends at) or he'd be in one-on-one coverage and we could throw some bombs to him.tdlabrie":2vtv4qrx said:Dallas had him sooooo figured out, it almost looked like they were spying him. ...Nah, makes way too much sense.

a go route... Richardson and Percy on opposite sides of the field and go. see what it opens up. our passing game opens up our running game, and our running game opens up our passing game. but as you said, makes to much sense. and at this point, bevell isn't making much sense.

One reason is because I knew his signing meant the departure of Tate and I didn't want to lose Tate. So this is obviously a good time for me to step in and say TOLD YOU SO, right?
Wrong. And I was wrong. Especially now knowing what it would cost to re-sign Tate (too much for this offense). Injury concerns aside (I was right about that), Harvin, by all accounts has been a solid team mate. He's not been the cancer here that he was in Minn. He's been more Dillon than Owens, much to my pleasure.
This mess isn't on Harvin. He's a single player and even "the most dangerous player in the league", needs help. Harvin needs a true 1, or at least a burner, to be truly effective. Excluding his final 10 games with the Vikes, at his best, he had Moss. He also had Favre, AP and an O-line. He has (close to) 2/3rds of that with us, but that 2/3rds don't have an O-line to help them to help him. Hip aside, I'm pleased with Harvin. He was brought in for the sole purpose of pushing us over the top and over the top we went.
I am being redundant in saying this again here, but Harvin should now be on the trading block. Get as much out of him as possible before the wheef come off again. He should be worth no less, and maybe more, than when we signed him. His talents are being wasted here and right now, we need heavy equipment more than we need a Ferrari.
Harvin = stud rookie LT, imo.

I think (know) Bryan Walters is a better WR than Harvin, so is Baldwin, Kearse, and Lockette. That's 4 wr better than him and thats from a team that seems weak at wr.
Take the top 3 wr from each team basically and Harvin sits at around 100.
Yes, there are literally 75-100 wr I would take over harvin.
You must be spending too much time on YouTube and not enough time watching the hawks.Tical21":11fzpuw8 said:Percy was on the field for 2 of the 6 third downs that the Seahawks faced in the 4th quarter.
Whoever that guy was that said there are lots of receivers better than Harvin must not have access to the Youtube.
The sad thing about this is that I think you're actually serious about it.bjornanderson21":1umdto83 said:SomersetHawk":1umdto83 said:bjornanderson21":1umdto83 said:Please try not to say things like "we all know Percy Harvin is a phenomenal player" because we don't ALL share that opinion.cesame":1umdto83 said:The way Bevell is using him so far is criminal
