Daammmnnnn.....

I know Cousins has been struggling (badly) recently, but I didn't expect this. Hope he does well (and not just because Atlanta making the playoffs over Tampa Bay is better for the Seahawks... even though it is).

I remember people were thinking I was nuts at the beginning of the year when I said that a QB controversy in Atlanta would be near the top of the list in that department.

Reports from other players have them saying he’s far and away the better QB in practice and they wanted him to start

I love Penix and multiple scouts if not the majority thought he was the best thrower of the football in the entire class. I think he’s going to be a star. Rooting for the kid.

Will be interesting to see if he's any more than a college hero.

Have my doubts, but its not like i havent been wrong 1000x before.
Always a big jump, particularly for QBs. That's why the success rate is so...spotty. Teams continue to over-draft them, though. The draft is always a crap shoot, and first round QBs are like betting on hard 10s.

He does have a few weeks of pro practice and listening on the headset and studying NFL video behind him, though. That should help him out a bit.

We are already seeing two rookie QBs thriving and another who looks much better than the vet he replaced mid season. Wouldn't be surprising to see Penix look surprisingly ready.

With the promotion of Penix, the GeNOs turned their lonely eyes to Howell. There you go Mr. Schneider, do it for the GeNOs.

The league is shifting again to a more run balanced offenses. Makes the qb's job easier...

Struggling?
First 9 games, he had 17 TD's, 7 picks.
Last 5 games, he has 1 TD, 9 picks.

And they are on a downward spiral. Should have made this change 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Probably also helps that Daniels, Nix, and Penix were in college longer than Tommy Callahan.
6 years in college, because of the Covid exceptions. This isn't really that uncommon.
Followed by people saying Penix was like 29, when he was 23, and younger than BO AND 3
