If it hadn't been for Vrabel's desperate waving of the pom poms and telling his players to suck it up and not implode, I think it would have resembled a funeral on the Patriots' sideline.

Yeah, that was more of a talent imbalance than coaching, IMO. They had some stars, be we had a team.

"Smile...or be a blessing"

Honestly the whole thing feels of desperation.

He knew they were in over their heads here.

He knew they were f'ed and that they only got here to the SB because of extenuating circumstances moreso than just merit.

Good coach, we'll see how they respond now, just a bad matchup for them (for most) but invaluable if they respond. Much more respect for them than, say, the clams or whiners. Might take a couple years and it will come down to how their staff addresses weaknesses in scheme and personnel, I hope we see a rematch in a year or two, in the owl.

They won't be making it back any time soon.

Yeah.

Too many things broke right for them to get to this point.

Bo Nix would almost certainly be healthy next time.

Or

Josh Allen would finally break through next season

OR

The friggin' Chiefs start paying off the Refs again

OR

The Jaguars are going to break through even with Trevor picking his nose

OR

The Texans break through and CJ Stroud remembers that "Turnovers, bad. No Turnovers, good."

OR

The Ravens (in particular Lamar) have a bounceback year
