Our GM (JS). Is it true?

I guess if we lose today, we know who to blame.
The talking heads say it would be Darnold's fault, and everyone would feel that this proves that he can't play in the big games. Sometimes I just want to slap people.

If he plays poorly, the criticism will be justified.

Also, if he plays poorly, it makes the decision of whether to pay his big roster bonus in five days easier.

Are you joking again? How poor is poor? What if he had played fantastic and we had lost the NFCCG and didn't even get to the Super Bowl? Then are such decisions easier?

The sports guys were saying "if he loses", not "if he has a poor game".

Stafford lost to Darnold in the last two games they met, and both were critical? Should the Rams dump him? (you know, this year's MVP).

Stafford doesn't have a huge roster bonus upcoming. And he didn't play badly in those games. And he just won MVP.

Why are we even pretending Darnold would be difficult to replace? Tua is going to be cut, and he's better. He'll cost a fraction of what we're paying now. Kyler is going to get cut, and he's better at his best. Flacco would have easily had this team in the Super Bowl, and he just announced he wants to play another season.

You need to use the sarcasm tag when you post stuff like this. Otherwise people are going to assume you're absolutely nuts.

I really enjoy reading your posts.

Still...I am getting a high-quality Darnold jersey as soon as one appears in the Seahawks store - win or lose today. I will sew a 50th patch on it, and possibly a Super Bowl patch, although I suspect that the patches being sold on ebay are way bigger than what's actually on the jerseys.

If, next season, I see someone wearing a fantasy Seahawks jersey with a nameplate reading Tua, Flacco or Kyler, I will introduce myself and buy you a beer.

A big part of the reason we're here is not getting too emotionally invested in the QB. If he goes out and repeatedly turns the ball over in a humiliating loss, he's not just coming back because the journey was fun.
