Mooch just said (NFL GAMEDAY LIVE) that if we win out we are the #1 seed.

I thought if we win out, and Rams only remaining loss was to us, they still are #1

Anybody know the exact details?

ETA
probably an easy answer but my mind/math isn’t working (no coffee yet)

We're currently tied with the Rams and play them one more time; If we win out, the Rams end up with one more loss than us. We'll have a record of 14-3, Rams 13-4 (if they win out except the loss to us).

I believe that if the Rams lose to the Seahawks and the Seahawks run the table, that would put the Rams at 13 - 4 and the Seahawks at 14 - 3.
Seahawks still have to win out to get there though.

It's pretty cool that with 3 games left, we're tied for the best NFC record. What a luxury!

The schedule isn't a cake-walk, but this team certainly could run the table.

It’s also very strange to me.

I just read we have a higher percentage chance of making the playoffs than the Rams.

Us @97%
Rams @94%

How’s that work (since y’all are helping me think)?

Well, pm, it may be that we're favored to beat the Rams right now. That gives them one more loss than us regardless of the other factors.

Also something like this: if we win today (and what, a Bears or GB loss at some point, which is inevitable since they play each other on Dec. 20), we're in the dance because they cannot catch up with us, even with a tie-breaker.

The Rams play the Lions today; that's a tougher out than the Colts are for us, I think.

Yea, I’m looking a bit into it now.

Seems it’s more about Vegas lines than actual odds.

Opposition comes into play as well.

We went from ODO (Unknown Sample) to We all we need, We all we got. They now know we are on the rise.

It seems the odds of the Hawks getting at least a wildcard are extremely high.

Convincing or solid wins over LA and SF would be tremendous boosters going into the playoffs.

Nah, I hate the Lions, their fans are insufferable and I can't avoid them where I live. Go Rams. If we take care of our business, it ultimately won't matter what they do anyway.
