Again, PFF insults our team. Our OL is definitely not #30 after the off-season adjustments.

Showing their ignorance, they rated the Bears' OL highly, in #4.

The Bears and the Hawks had the most struggled OL in 2024. Both displayed IOL issues. Our front office and coaches wisely identified the real root cause, the Bears? Just signed bunch of IOL veterans.

For the record, our OL will finish 2025 with ranking in top 15 if not top 10. Kiss my a** PFF.

I fear Schneider didn’t do enough. We shall see. #30 does sound about 10 spots too low, imo.

Those are both wrong. No way the Bears go from #24 to #4 by adding one good guard and two questionable players.

I think the Seahawks are likely to improve more than 1 spot just by having Lucas healthy and hiring a new offensive coordinator and line coach. It won't be a huge improvement, but it will be better than #30.

Yeah, #30 seems a bit harsh. But I can see how people beyond our fandom wouldn't think highly of our offensive line. We're relying on a healthy Lucas, continued improvement from Cross, a rookie LG from a Division II school, someone, anyone to step up and claim the RG spot, and question marks at the C position. I, too, think JS didn't do enough the past two off seasons to add at least one solid veteran presence to our unit.

But I'm hoping for the best, hoping for players to step up, and that an improved coaching staff on that side of the ball will get the most out of the talent we have. I'm in a wait and see posture about our offense in general next season, whereas I'm pretty confident on the other side of the ball.

The 49ers are relying on a healthy 37-year old Williams and got ranked #12 (with their bright spot rightfully being identified as Puni). That seems outwardly high for that group.

That's fine if they want to say we're #30. Who is really to suggest otherwise after last year. But it just seems like PFF is going out of their way to crap on every position group on this team. I'm pretty confident they're in for a big surprise this year.

This is one ranking that you could put between 20-32 and it would make sense. Until they prove otherwise, that unit is a massive question mark. Put them at 32 and tack it on the bullentin board.

I wouldn't say Schneider didn't do enough the past two off-seasons, he did more than any other GMs in the league in fixing our OL. Name another team that traded away their Pro Bowl QB, two Pro Bowl WRs, and the lone IOL with Pro Bowl accolade, just to fix the OL? The other teams did the band-aid; we surgically removed the root cause.

As per usual PFF continues their low regard for the Seahawks and will again be proved wrong.

I must say I am curious about the OLine though, and will watch their play closely through the preseason before I'm convinced they have been significantly upgraded. To that I think we'll see significant competition at C and RG and the winners will allow for a the Oline to be considered significantly upgraded. Time alone will tell. At present 20 sounds about right, but they may prove better than that.

From dot net:
Lucas, when health, an all pro
Cross, pro bowl
Haynes, workmanlike LG
Bradford, comeback player of the year.
Zabel, Star in the making.

Cross-Zabel-Olu-???????????-Lucas should be better than 30th. However, even 30th would be a huge upgrade over the last few years.

I’ll wait and see, before pretending our OL is suddenly good. We have had a bottom 10 OL for a decade now. Granted a lot of issues probably were caused by ME3 running around, or holding onto the ball too long. But the OL has been an issue for a long time. And rookies usually take a year or two to become really good.

On the bright side, even if our o-line is still terrible, our QB and OC are ripe for scapegoating via nicknames. Sam DarNOld? Klint KubiHACK? These nicknames practically spam themselves.

When you had the most banged up line in the league and have to play bums like Stone Forsyth you get stuck with a practice squad caliber player. Lucas is back healthy, Bradford looks fit and Zabel is a plug and play all pro rookie. Last year was last year. The line is stout when healthy
