It’s still early. I def think Darnold has the potential to be much better than Geno. I really hope Darnold is better than he was last year.

That's the thing, though.

He doesn't need to be better than he was last year if this offense is going to be more running-game oriented...

He just needs to be a Point Guard and get the ball to Kupp/JSN/Arroyo and so forth to make plays.


If he even ends up coming close to last season's numbers, I would be ECSTATIC.

Better than those numbers would put him in the Elite Category which I kinda not see happening (though I do often wish for it).

Of course Darnold wouldn't be Gameday-ready with his throws.
