This has absolutely nothing to do with “keeping the purse strings closed,” or the sale.They are up for sale. Purse strings closed. Not going to put big numbers on the books prior to the sale. Team is under the control of accountants and Lawyers hired to facilitate the sale. Nothing big is going to happen. People here try to say this is not true but it is. Nine unrestricted free agents that we had the opportunity to sign before free agency. Not one signing. Purse strings are closed. Don’t believe me wait until the second week of free agency and we still haven’t made a big impact deal. A couple of mid range deals is the best to hope for. The rest of the deals will be just enough to fill the roster
Coming off a Super Bowl win and no big numbers on the books will be the selling points from the accountants and Lawyers
Accountants and Lawyers do not think like fans
It has been John’s MO as long as he has been here. Disciplined about his cap.
And the Seahawks actually HAVE to spend a lot of money this year to keep them above the cap basement.
