Nobody really thought the wildcard vagiants would beat the then-undefeated patriots, so that's another perspective... I don't know what the Vegas odds were, but I imagine a $100 wager would have won a fortune!
Don't forget about that amazing super bowl the wild card stealers won!

Plenty of teams are capable of winning it. Imagine this.....you still have to play the games 😱

Quite a few good teams who can get hot at the right time.
Ravens, Chiefs, Bills, Steelers, Detroit, Philly, GB........all are pretty damn good. Steelers a little below the others, but they certainly are capable.

The Chiefs just go thru the motions in the regular season much of the time. Then come playoff time, they flip a switch.

Steelers can play cold weather defense. Wilson is cooking. Eagles vs. Steelers would be interesting.

So many possibilities.

Currently, I think Bills vs. Lions. But that can change the next few weeks. And I'm not overly confident as long as the Chiefs and Mahomes are in the mix.

I still think the Ravens are scary team. Some team is going to get them as their division winning prize.

If they decide to play like the team they look like on paper, they can go deep.

I just hope we are at the beginning of a pendulum swing with Mike Macdonald. I'm so sick of seeing offensive-minded head coaches in the SB and being reminded of it constantly by people like Cowherd.

Ron Fairley would be so proud. His classic line was "If you score more than the other team........you're gonna' win the game"
Howard Cosell covered a World Series hit that advanced a couple of runners by saying, "moving runners around the bases is the purpose of the game." Really? Thanks, Howard.

Someone believing those teams are the favorites is not the same as them saying nobody else is "capable". Like if you had to bet all your money on those four teams or the field to win the Super Bowl, I'm guessing the vast majority are choosing those four teams.

To me, the Ravens are absolutely in that group of favorites too, and I could see the Packers maybe making a run as well. Can't say I have a lot confidence in anyone after that, but there are a few that are maybe close. The Broncos, Seahawks, and Commanders are all in the "maybe if they get hot, but probably not quite there yet" category for me. I should probably have more faith in the Vikings than I do. I thought the Rams were getting healthy at the right time and turning a corner, and maybe if they get in I won't completely dismiss their chances, but they have not looked impressive the past four weeks. The Bucs appear to have the ability to beat, or lose to, anyone.

Gun to my head, I'm thinking Bills-Eagles for the Super Bowl. Hopefully the latter changes because I hate the Eagles, but they look damn good and the NFC as a whole doesn't look spectacular to me. I don't trust the Lions still.
Broncos have came a long way

I think the Steelers should be in this conversation too

More than 4 teams are capable of winning the SB and the bookies odds show it.

The odds imply there is a 70% change that the lions, Eagles, Bills of Chiefs will win the SB but there is profit built into those numbers, (the odds imply there is about a 107% chance that somone will win the SB), so the ral proability is probably around 2 in 3.

This means there is a 1 in 3 chance the SB goes to someone else which compares to the favorite Lions 22%. It is just the chances of an individual team is getting quite low after the top 4 teams (the Ravens are fifth favorite with an implied probability of just under 8% then the Packers, Vikings and Steelers at about 4% each.
