Yes, they are dudes! Can't tell you how nice it is having a legitimate OL these days, and I think it will be even better this coming season. Feels like finally coming upon an actual reservoir of pure drinking water in a vast desert that is not a mirage.

Speaking of OL, crazy watching how much Abe pushes himself...

I’ll be honest, having torn an ACL myself while playing football , I do not agree with this training routine. He’s not wearing any knee brace whatsoever and with someone who had serious knee issues, this is a high risk training routine.

Draft a RG in the first round, it worked last year at LG. But yeah, in an offensive driven league, these guys won it all. As a unit, they rock!

His repair was January '24, over two years ago. He absolutely should be able to tolerate this kind of routine by now. It's less stress than on the field.

Just have to build up to this slowly, to minimize the risk, which I am sure he did.

Kind of a cool drill. Emphasizes explosion, isolates each leg, and the lines on the floor give a visible measure of how far his left is behind his right.

Don’t agree?

Hmmmmm, did you have an equivalent support system?
Same level of doctors, physical therapist etc?

Just curious, because I think these guys typically have better access than the average Joe.

Looking at the back end of the season and playoffs, I don't see the pressing need to replace Bradford with a rookie.

I'm all for bringing guys in, draft or FA - whatever - to camp to compete. In my experience fans are always a year or two behind in evaluating player development. I blame fantasy football, where people seem to expect instant production from new players which is unrealistic in the real world, especially for o-linemen. An o-lineman who comes in a contributes immediately is rather a rare occurrance in the NFL. Usually it takes 2-3 years to reach full effectiveness. Bradford just finished his 3d year, so he's more or less on track.

that’s the first thing I thought that movement is hard on knees, healthy, or not and after having two meniscus surgeries, I don’t think I could ever attempt that

That video with all of Bradford's mistakes cut up has an overly negative effect on people's opinion of Anthony. I know it effected my judgement.

But I went back and watched more "film" on him and the power that he has is amazing. I think if Bradford keeps the starting gig, he'll get better at it as his body and muscle memory help him perform without thinking.

Add to that, the Seahawks coaches know better who should be the starter than I do.

IMHO, our Oline's success is a direct result of Pete being gone. We are investing in linemen that in Ray Robert's words, "have a Phd at their position." AND, we have an actual offensive line coach. Tom Cable took advantage of Pete's good nature and was selecting garbage OLinemen, while Pete was not putting enough importance on investing there.

His issue is lateral movement when it comes to Pass-blocking.

He's okay in Run-blocking but it's the Pass-blocking that's gotten him into these situations.

After the past two drafts I have finally come to accept the team's judgment as better than my own. I would like to see us draft Vega, Bisontis or Pregnon, but if the team decides to go with BPA, I will trust there is good reason for it.

Now let's see if I can get someone here to fret about the risk Abe puts on his arm and shoulder muscles at 140 pounds apiece. Just kidding, but still...
