I'm surprised that Ben Johnson and the Bears let their offensive coordinator jump ship to the Ravens. Technically, the Ravens were allowed to do it because Doyle doesn't call the plays in Chicago and he will be able to in Baltimore. Still, you would have thought (1) the Bears would have thrown some money at him to keep him and (2) Doyle would have felt some loyalty to Johnson for hiring him as the youngest OC (28) last year.
In unrelated news, Sean Payton fired his offensive coordinator, Joe Lombardi on Wednesday, and then Pete Carmichael, Payton's long-time OC in New Orleans who was an offensive consultant for the Broncos was hired as the Bills' OC on Thursday before Payton could make him the OC. The question I have is (1) did Payton offer him the OC job in Denver? and (2) if so, why did Carmichael jump ship?

Ex-Broncos OC Joe Lombardi: Sean Payton 'was in one of those moods where he felt like some changes needed to be made'
Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi this week. Lombardi has coached alongside Payton for 12 seasons during his NFL career.
