You what's kind of scary? Carroll and Scheider have both said (since picking up Schofield) how badly they wanted him on draft day but he was taken by Arizona right before we picked and how they felt they missed out. Want to know who we picked two picks later? Kam Chancellor.

Wonder if Schofield would have been the pick over Chancellor if he was still on the board when our 5th rounder came up?

Guys name sounds like he would be a golfer, or someone trying to sling furniture.

Pete's good at finding guys that are hard workers, are flexible, and have something to prove.

Lots of talent at LB, will be fun watching the battle for spots on the team as August gets shorter and shorter. How mind raking would that be if you were in one of these guys that feels/knows that one mistake could temporarily derail their careers/livelihood.

Schofield isn't wrong about Horton being a great coach who got done dirty by the Birds.
I can see how it would be tough to be excited about a new coaching staff if he was so tied to Ray as a father figure kind of guy.

Schofield in the Bruce Irvin/Clay Mathews role is going to really play to his strengths, play the run on the way to the quarterback causing pressure especially in crunch time that was no where to be seen last year.

He's not Leroy Hill's replacement. Hill was the Will LB and that's where KJ Wright is now. Schofield is a Sam LB who also lines up at the Leo DE spot in nickel/sub packages.
