Can we not play down to the opponent for this series? Apparently, only the Rangers were able to avoid doing this among teams who have recently played the A's. Also, it's something the Mariners seem to love doing.

Was listening to Wyman and Bob and they had a quote from the Athletics Ace Reliever where the interviewer asked him "Some parks will turn the lights out when their Ace Reliever comes on to the mound with a lead." The Athletics Pitcher deadpanned: "We're afraid if we turn the lights out, they'll never come back on."

Lol.
And that ball club playing in a dumpster has an actual offense too.

Any word on what happened to Brian Woo? After his last pitch he just seemed like he was a little pissy about giving up a hit

We didn't need Polanco at all. We already had our second baseman in Josh Rojas. If only we had signed a third baseman. Of course, most of the FA available have been a bust so far.

Even more frustrating when we see what they're capable of. 🤷‍♂️

All of the runs tonight from the bottom of the order. Need to drop Julio down to 4-6 spot, sit Garver for a game or three, and make sure D-Mo continues to play. Tonight was fun, but until it happens on a more regular basis, some changes need to be made.

Not a bad outing for what turned into a bullpen game.

Mariners better sweep the A's. Take advantage of all the wins they can get, because later on it WILL make a difference.

I think it's the 2nd or 3rd time the bottom of the line up did serious damage

D-Mo was a one-man wrecking crew tonight, 3 for 4, with a homerun and 5 runs batted in. Julio 0 for 5 with 3 Ks.

Julio needs to visit the bench. He's pressing big time
In the very near future when Montez(LH) and Locklear come up they
should help JRod,it might be next season but the top needs good power
hitters that hit.

Heres a link with Video of both hitting homers but watch Montez with
his grand slam that was absolutely crushed.

Toro batting almost .300 with OPS pushing .800. Unbelievable. Yet another former player playing good ball as soon as he switches teams. I wonder if these players are just straight up requesting trades but the media doesnt cover it. It's unreal. This franchise is unreal.

The A's, who play in a concrete box, sent 8 players with an OPS at or above .750 to the plate today. The M's have been sending 2 or 3 players with an OPS .750+ every single day. This offense sucks. Straight up sucks. Literal minor league tier. It is one of the worst offenses in franchise history. If I was a pitcher I would really think about if I should throw my hardest the rest of the year. Why risk injury for an offense that sucks and has no coaching? The starting rotation should go on strike.
