I would be good with that and happy to get him paid after the season if it comes to fruition. He's due ~$20m next year, so adding 2 years with a signing bonus can smooth that out.

Seems like the smart move for him would be to skip pre-season game action. It isn't like we don't know what he can do.

We've talked a lot about the new offense but I really think the defense is going through some transformative changes.
D'Anthony Bell is more than a special teamer, Nwosa restructuring. Demarcus Lawrence, the re- signing of Ernest Jones lV & Josh Jobe. A pack of dogs to go with a defense full of dogs, and they ain't done yet.
MM's D really improved closing out the season last year. I think we're quietly headed in the right direction.

While I think OL is the biggest need, if the right player falls to us at 18, I could see them drafting D and I'd be ok with it for the right player and the next pic being OL.
