Already stoked for next season. If someone couldn't enjoy that season, I don't know what to tell you.
That was a blast.

Disappointment and criticism are normal.

But if you couldn't enjoy any of this season, you're going to be perpetually miserable. And who wants to live like that?
That describes a Browns fan every year....we have a well run team top to bottom...yes not perfect and changes need to happen on several levels but we could be worse...and have been worse.

Largent,

We get a 3 TD deficit in every divisional playoff game since the SB loss.

We weren't injured those other years.

And we started scoring just fine in the 2nd half. Did all the injuries miraculously heal?

If we were 100%, we still would have fallen behind by 3 TD because that is what Pete does in these games.

We lost because we couldn't make up for a 3 TD deficit in the first half

We lost because we were decimated by injuries and have a mediocre defense (and that's being kind), and if not for Russell we would have never even sniffed the Divisional round of the playoffs.

If you thought that Hawk team yesterday could win a SB? Then you were way too optimistic, reality is we overachieved because Russell had an MVP caliber year.

No way in hell if we pulled off that win yesterday with even more injuries to Clowney, Jefferson, etc that we were going to SF and winning, or beating whoever wins the AFC.

They could have gotten super lucky and done, but it would take quite the combination of events.

But if someone is mad that Carroll didn't "unleash Wilson" and they're ignoring the fact that this team struggled to stop other teams from getting TDs, that's really myopic.

I expected the wheels to come off all season because of the defensive issues. Even if you go full Reid/Mahomes you don't win a Super Bowl without a decent defense unless the stars align week to week. They gave up absurd amounts of points (26 PPG last year) and failed in the playoffs because they couldn't play defense. This year they gave up less than 20 and it shows. They have a really good shot of beating two more teams.

It was a good, entertaining year. But this defense has a serious talent shortage. If they get a better than average defense next year with that running game and Wilson behind center they have a decent shot at winning it.

I'm feeling more spry knowing my heart survived all the come from behind last possession games we played this year.
Amazing season.
The last 7 years gives me confidence Carroll and Schneider will come up with a plan that works for next year. I hope Pete also takes the time to learn how to read odds better as he could have done better on some late game calls. I also would like a more aggressive style defense as opposed to reactionary zone, but that's just me. Hard to fault the long term success they've spoiled us with. There has been no better time in our Seahawk history.

18 players on IR. Numerous walking wounded. 2 guys suspended.

I know injuries affect all squads but we have been decimated in key areas with the back ups being taken out.

This is our new ceiling now. If you enjoy the ride until the ceiling? It is fun.

But I didn't bother to watch the 1st half, of a divisional playoff game because I have learned it rarely matters. I used to watch our 2 win teams back in the day. But I won't watch our 1st halves now.

We lost because we couldn't make up for a 3 TD deficit in the first half. Just like every other divisional playoff game since the Super Bowl loss.

Way to sh*t on a positivity thread.

Sorry Aros,

To be fair, this year was one of the most fun to watch seasons I have ever experienced as a Seahawk fan. Not 2012ish but close.

Wilson has been magnificent. And some of this season's wins were some of the greatest regular season wins I can recall.

It is my fault for having expectations. I should have known better. Probably a hint that I completely skipped the 1st half to watch something else because 'nothing good happens in the 1st half anyway'.

But it was a great ride until the playoffs started. Wilson has been magical. Carson has been a stud. Penny was starting to show promise. DK was a great addition. Lockett has been incredible and Clowney + Diggs were amazing additions. It was impressive.
