Just accept it, after almost 40 years of this, I have.
The default perspective of the Seattle Seahawks by the national (east coast) media is that the Hawks are a glorified CFL/Arena League team that plays in South Alaska that takes 16 hours to fly to with multiple layovers, midair refuelings and a donkey ride to the stadium. When the Seahawks win, it's because the other teams blew it. When we lose, it's Status Quo. Everything we accomplish will be downplayed, no matter what.
That is why our fanbase grew such an enormous chip on our shoulders for enduring the east coast mediots vomiting out of the top of their necks the usual clap trap week in and week out for literally decades. Well boys, it's back, and that chip should start growing again after the Pete Carroll/Legion of Boom/Marshawn Lynch/Super Bowl honeymoon is long over. I actually welcome it, because I think our players perform better when they're not being stroked by scum of society sports journalists. Leave that to the media darlings, we'll just get better and kick this league's ass and they won't even see it coming.
Send it.
