Me...typical Hawks fan....Dallas SUCKS.
Holy ( crap ) Niners need to send Chokemo a dozen roses for being so thoughtful.

I know what 'hawk fans are gonna say. Gave up run yards, offense did nothing in second half, Dallas sucked.
They gave up run yards because the were playing with a light box most of the game. They have been able to get away with that in the past with Aldon and Bowman, but clearly that's not gonna work like it has.
Second half was just about killing the clock. Also some really, really bad calls extending Dallas. 7 minute drive and killing Niner drive in scoring position, not to mention a missed chip shot FG by a pro bowl kicker. Really not concerned.
Dallas does suck tho. Niners beat a team they were supposed to beat. Moving on to week 2.
Honestly my biggest concerns are injuries at CB. I know both Marshall and Jeffries were hurt for the Bears today. If be curios to see if we get backup WRs vs backup DBs this Sunday.
Dallas would have had a close game i they had any QB other than Romo. That guy needs to be cut. Dallas played better than I expect and the 49'ers play worse than I expected. DeMarco Murray was running all over the 49ers defense. If Romo had the basic sense to run the ball some more and not throw into double or triple coverage (or to some imaginary friend 20 feet behind a cowboy player) it would had been a different game.
Really got nothing out of this other than how much more often "the worst defense in the league" still managed to stop the 49ers offense than I thought they would have.
...and that's pretty much what I would expect a Seahawks fan to take away from the game.
Niners essentially end the game in the first quarter and the takeaway from you is "Niners should have been better".
Sigh. And so it goes.
...and that's pretty much what I would expect a 49'ers fan to take away from my post.
Seahawk fan trashing on niners for no reason.
Niners has been a top defense for awhile now. That game was not representative of a top defense. Not to mention playing against likely the worst or a bottom 5 defense and getting stopped repeatedly.
Its just facts man... even if you don't like em. Take off your homer glasses.
Marvin49":n9x2p8up said:Well of course its not the same defense. LOL.
Missing 2 of their best players on defense and lost both starting corners in the first quarter. Niner focused on stopping Bryant and Witten who combined for 12 yards. Niners won't be as good on D early. They just need to be good en ough till the big guns come back.
As for the stops.....man. That's just sad. It was 21-3 in the firs quarter and Niners were milking the clock. Yeah...they got "stopped". LOL.
Niners were up 28-3 at the half. Only a 'hawk homer would look at that second half as anything other than the Niners just trying to end the game healthy. LOL. There was a drive the Niners had that was nothing but handoff to Gore, handoff to Hyde, handoff to Gore, handoff to Hyde, etc. That drive ended in a missed FG.
Niner O is just fine.

How can you say they were milking the clock in the first quarter. You were irrational before and now you are borderline frothy.
Thanks for admitting the defense didn't look as good though(which is what I said).
This is not a stat you want to see on your star running back against a TERRIBLE defensive front
16 attempts 66yards 4.1 YPA
Please spin your way out of that.
Carlos Hyde performed ALOT better However; 7 attempts doesn't really show much.
Boldin did alright but there was nothing spectacular about your receivers especially considering they were up against a terrible secondary that rated a -8 PFF grade.
Its like if you put up Mike Tyson in the ring with a featherweight and extolled his glory for winning...just asinine homerism.
The MVP for the niners was definitely Tony Romo.
Not much to take away from a game against the cowboys. I'm sure the 49ers will be good/better but there was nothing saying so in that game.
Also, LOL
Yes Marv, you are a HUGE homer! Sorry to burst your bubble!Marvin49":3dzleqor said:Melencause":3dzleqor said:Marvin49":3dzleqor said:Well of course its not the same defense. LOL.

OMG. You can't be serious can you? I'M the homer for not being concerned about my team after what was a blowout until late garbage time TDs? I should be worried because they didn't blow out an NFL team by more points?
Seriously? I'M the homer!?! LOL. OK Chief. Right.
Moving on.

Who said concerned? I just didn't see anything that indicated greatness. Which is what it takes to win in the NFL?
Also, yes you are a homer.. Your post history supports this.
If you thought your offense was looking good based on the Cowboy game, you are either a homer, lying to yourself, or clueless. You have yet to support your case... the outrage doesn't provide evidence... find some please.

Support what?
28-3 at halftime.
Done.
I'm not the one trying to make a case that a team up by 25 points isn't playing good enough on offense as tho the score doesn't dictate how they play. That would be you.
Niners beat a team they were supposed to beat and did it handily. Period.

LOL symptoms of homerism.
1. Refusal to see logic
2. Denial of facts
3. Repetitive behaviors bordering on mantra and religious chants.
4. Inability to support a position with analysis.
How many of those points were the result of a 49'ers offensive drive vs interceptions/fumbles? Look at time of possession for a clue.
You are embarrassing yourself.
This is the comment you thought was homeristic.

Fact the Cowboys stopped the 49'ers on numerous drives. Which is also more than I expected from them, mixed with less than I expected from the 49ers.
You obviously come to this board for a reason, to troll or make homerist comments. It's fine.. embrace who you are.. just don't deny it. You are pretty transparent.

The Niners took care of business as they should have. The Cowboys gave them every opportunity to make it easy on the Niners, what was SF supposed to do? Play like they were behind? SC didn't need to risk anything, so why would they? We have seen the Hawks take advantage of similar situations, where the offense didn't have to score much or put themselves in a situation where they give the opponent a chance to win.
I look at the NYG last year. Sort of the same thing. Dallas never stood a chance in that game, the Niners did what they needed to burn clock and not give them a chance. K-Choke could work on his game from the pocket and he did. My FF team is having a great week because of Davis and Quan, so I am good with that.

This pretty much sums up my opinion about yesterday's game. I liked some of what I saw, but at the same time I see lots of areas that need much improvement. A wins a win and I'll take it.

You guys definitely took care of business so congrats on the win.
I can't believe how inept the cowboys are. Romo had his first read wide open on the willis interception. He stared right at him wide open, rolled out to his right, and threw it right to Willis.
