THE NFC WEST: featuring three of the better teams in football. Along with one dysfunctional mess.

Just a sentence or two write up will suffice. I'm not trying to do an entire scouting report or essay on this.

(1) AZ CARDINALS (10-2)

They played the Bears. Murray and Hopkins are back.

(2) LA RAMS (8-4)

They played JAX, it was like getting an additional bye week.

(3) SF 49ERS (6-6)

They spent THREE 1sts and a 3rd on Lance, only to continue to roll with Jimmy. Jimmy will be the starter again next year too, book it. Kyle doesn't offer much outside of the offensive scheme he brings to the table. The 49ers were thoroughly dominated on special teams. The TV cameras would pan to Kyle as he was busy staring at his playsheet, too distracted to bother watching the other units on the team.

(4) SEA SEAHAWKS (4-8)

Paper-Rock-Scissors = 49ers-Rams-Seahawks.

It seemingly never matters how good or bad these teams are playing. These are the results.

There is probably something to this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...9d-with-team-e2-80-99s-performance/ar-AARu0JX

The Seahawks pulled out all of the stops like they were playing for their jobs. The game wasn't actually very close in reality. The Seahawks outplayed the 49ers most of the game, but Gerald Everett did his damnedest to give the game away, making it a close contest on the scoreboard.

Russell Wilson looked healthy, he only had 3 passes get away from him the whole game, Homer still managed to reel in one of these sailed attempts. His INT hit Everett on the button for the walk-in TD, Everett inexplicably bobbled it like he was shaving points.

Totally disagree with the “Seahawks outplayed the 49ers most of the game”. Yeah, Everett made HUGE mistakes, but Jimmy made 2 bonehead throws, they fumbled a kickoff, backup RT got absolutely trucked for a safety, 49ers made 1 of the dumbest roughing penalties I’ve ever seen and got another that was BS, and they gave up a 73 yard fake punt.

49ers actually outgained the Seahawks and that even counts the 73 yard fake punt. Other than that the Seahawks had like 250 total yards.

None of this is meant as an excuse…just don’t try to tell me the Seahawks thoroughly outplayed the 49ers and it was only close because of Everett. Please.

Fade,

The Seahawks didn't outplay the 49ers most of this game. First two turnovers in the red zone and you got zero points for it, and Wilson completely unable to move the ball for majority of first quarter is not what you call outplaying.

And a fake punt is great and all but it's one play, like a kick off return.

If anything, the Seahawk MVP is Dickson for downing those punts 3 times deep in enemy territory. Except the for the final desperate drive, Niners were unable to do shit pinned deep and contributed 2 points with the safety.

The 49ers are not a great team, but a good team.

A better overall team than the Seahawks. The final standings will show this, and common opponent records will show this.

Who do you think the Packers, Rams want to play if given a choice of Seattle vs SF in a playoff game? Bucs, Cowboys, Cardinals?

And forget those 49er fans referring to the 5 trophies from the old days. The Niners have been inconsistent af and stil have been to twice the amount of NFC championship games as Carroll in the same era, even with his 9 seasons of a winning record. Two different regimes with 2 shit seasons in between, and still went farther overall.

Congrats, you've got the Niners #, but the same issues still abound. The Hawks have a big WR edge over 49er DBs and know how to stop the run unlike other teams. Only a huge help against SF, not much against other teams.

There's no way Jimmy plays next season.

There never was unless he had a huge season and won the SB, and most likely SB MVP.

If you think there's doubts about Wilson and Carroll continuing in 2022, then absolutely there would be the same about Garoppolo as starting QB for the 49ers next year, esp. given cap considerations.

Really neither team won, it was the last team that figured out how not to lose.

While I generally agree with your post, I would argue that the kickoff fumble was more a good play by the Seahawks than a bad one by the 49ers.

Jimmy will not be the 49ers starter next year. They will roll with Lance and bring in a cheaper back up “Jimmy QB” that can replace Lance if he flounders ( which he might ) . They will use the cap space of Jimmy to sign key free agents on in the secondary and o line as well as get long term deals for deebo .

Jimmy can be good at times but is way too inconsistent to give that much cap space too. This season for example was bad early, got hurt, was great for 3 games, now meh again . He needs great players like kittle and deebo to help and needs to have a good run game. They elevate him not the other way around

And at 4-8 neither are the hawks. Fact of the matter is both teams are a joke. They both looked like utter crap last night. The best of the worst won. But they both are horrible. So grow up and take a seat. 100% of your posts are childish and bring nothing constructive to the discussion, you are a constant troll.

Thanks for proving to our opponent fans that we can be just as idiot as 49er and Cowboy fans saying but we won this many Super Bowls, never mentioning it was decades ago.

We don't claim Mix and Arlo by the way, they were stowaways on a Jaguar bandwagon that passed by.

The Seahawks have some very winnable games coming up, I think they catch the Niners in the standings. We'll see.
