Not hyperbole. Get to 7-2 and then 4-3 gets the Hawks to 11-5 and guarantees the playoffs. Hell even 3-4 from that point forward gets the team to 10-6 and puts them in good position. Playoff level teams win games vs. the Falcons and Bucs the next 2 weeks.

True, granted this years team exceeding expectations and making the playoffs is a good sign. Half of the reason I don't like seeing us being a non-contending playoff team is by getting to the playoffs your draft position becomes severely worse but you play to win the game and not tank for high picks.

Why would this year's team making the playoffs exceed expectations?

This team made it last year and is arguably better from a personnel standpoint.

I think most people penciled this team in for a wild card push.

I am loving this team and the season. Today sucked but its over. Every game is exciting and means something for playoff scenarios. Maybe they do lose the first game. Im bummed that I dont get to see them play another game but making the playoffs is a big deal. I know a lot of fans dont see that but you are missing out on a great year if you arent enjoying this.

We have to win the next two games. Yes Super Bowls are great but making the playoffs is the most important. IMO, making the playoffs signifies a successful season, who cares if its one and done.

Its not spoiled. Its the expectation that comes with having an actual franchise QB and an elite one at that. It is Super Bowl or bust every year. That's not being unrealistic or delusional.

10-6 might not be enough to clinch a wildcard this year with how stacked the NFC is, they would for sure need to beat the Vikings and Panthers as well to win the tie breaker.

100% disagree! Getting to the playoffs no matter how well you do is an accomplishment to be proud of! It amazes me how spoiled this fan base has become. If they make the playoffs and are 1 and done at least I get to enjoy a bonus Seahawks game. Regarding draft pick...there is almost no difference between picking just out of the playoffs vs the 1 and done teams. Anyone remember all the suck for luck draft theories? Yeah that worked out great.
Making the playoffs is something winning franchises do and it builds on that winning tradition. If you are disappointed in your team making the playoffs but not winning it all you might be a little unreasonable in your fandom. Enjoy the journey. If they make the playoffs, enjoy the bonus game(s). It’s all just entertainment anyway.

Heck yes, get this win on Sunday, then beat a Bucs team that CAN be really bad, but at times can really bring it. Sitting there at 7-2, I can't imagine complaining after that. But it likely will happen if it doesn't look a certain way :lol:
